Destroying Tiny Terminids Easily (Solo Max Difficulty, Tips, Tricks) - Helldivers 2
Solo Level 9 (Helldive) Terminid ERADICATION MISSION, Helldivers 2 gameplay. Full build recommended by viewer @foxheadl169 (guns, gear and stratagems).
I give as many TIPS, TRICKS, REFLECTIONS and FUN FACTS I can (incl. ICU-nurse life experience for mindset purposes). Mainly INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO with entertainment in mind. Extracted from the mission with two deaths and a total of four samples.
The run went fairly smoothly, with less than a handful of Bile Titans (BT's) spawning. The BT's were my main concern with my only real answer to them being the 500kg Eagle. The Chargers I could handle with the Breaker and Grenade Launcher, which also rarely appeared. So the game basically gave me the exact enemy composition this build was designed for, which showed if you keep an eye on the killcounter at the bottom of the screen. It constantly popping up above more kills than 30x shows how fast this build decimates tiny Terminids (chaff). This build is for all you Hunter haters!

The loadout:
- LIGHT GUNNER ARMOR: with 550 speed and +50 armor (100 total) this armor piece is versatility at it's finest since you sacrifice no speed and gain a total amount of armor equal to a medium armor piece! So getting oneshot by random bugs becomes less likely, giving you more time to think when in trouble. Not alot more time, since you still get slowed. Yet the extra second or two you gain will make the difference more often than you might think;
- BREAKER: all-round shotgun with massive damage. A bit heavy on the handling and very ammo hungry. When mastered, a potent bug killer, just make sure you use your resupplies on cooldown or you might find yourself without bullets;
- REDEEMER: powerful and versatile secondary, basically an uzi. One of the last patches increased it's recoil, which you can easily compensate for with a little practice (by dragging your mouse downward slowly while firing). When in doubt about what secondary to bring, you can't go wrong with this gun;
- INCENDIARY GRENADES: although pretty lackluster against Automatons, these nades are phenomenal against Terminids. Serving as mini-Napalms, you can use these to block off pathways to you, essentially forcing bugs to either kill themselves in the fire or at least take significant damage. When used in a choke point, the amount of bugs you can kill with just one grenade will feel extremely overpowered;
- STAMINA BOOSTER: always a good booster to bring, specifically against bugs this booster offers the chance of getting out of situations you normally wouldn't. Being able to run away for an extensive amount of time let's you reposition when they catch you off guard, assuming you manage to kill the Hunters slowing you down ofcourse;
- EAGLE 500KG: with the ship module upgrades, having two of these every 150 seconds is phenomenal. They get dropped from the angle you threw them in and mostly do damage in vertical fashion. These bad boys will take care of your Bile Titan problem with ease. And if not, you can always kill multiple Chargers with them;
- EAGLE NAPALM STRIKE: dropping Napalm perpendicularly to the direction you throw it makes this Eagle the very best fall-back stratagem against Terminids. And if not falling back, it will decimate all the tiny bugs for you and weaken all the bigger ones;
- GRENADE LAUNCHER: an allround support weapon capable of handling a variety of situations (i.e. closing nests, killing packs of tiny bugs, killing medium to bigger enemies with some effort, etc), though it mostly (imo) shines to clear out large packs of light enemies;
- GUARD DOG ROVER (LASER): speaking of tiny bug clearing machines, this phenomenal backpack has got your back, literally. No other piece let's you rack up 20 or more kills while sprinting, suddenly repositioning doesn't feel like retreating anymore. It's actually become strategy!

If you wanna do my load out for next, I go sickle, the auto pistol, and impact. Stratgems are auto cannon, airstrike, emp sentry, orbital rail strike. I know it’s weird but it works for me. As always the reflections are amazing.

I loving using this with the auto cannon, for ranged enemies/precision shots against devastators (1 hits the small guys too). Also, because I haven't unlocked the scorcher yet 😅
Hell yeah! It's an awesome gun now. I think the scorcher is equal to it, maybe just a little bit better in terms of versatility but not by much anymore 😃

On a scale of 1-10 I give HD2 a 20! 😁 I hate the bugs but find the bites a funner challenge. I have been looking for a really good video like this. Thanks for posting this! I just got the auto cannon and am looking to do solo runs but my prior loadout on trivial, easy and medium needs to be changed out. Tgere a couple of Orbitals I am close to getting. . However I am using the Orbital Gas on outposts. It does fantastic paired with the Eagle Strafing, 120 barrage and Eagle Airstrike. It took out an entire fuel depot, production facility and ammunition base. Works great especially if you can't get a hellbomb down. So looking forward to playing with the auto cannon!
Haha I love it! Awesome positivity. Thank you so much for your compliment as well! Soloing can be quite some fun, it also helps you learn alot of things about the game alot faster. For example you learn the mission objectives alot faster simply because noone else is doing them for you. They did a good job balancing most of the stratagems out, both Orbitals and Eagles. I am more of an Eagle fan but I do mix them up often. Specially since you can throw an Eagle and an Orbital in at the same time for maximum mayhem (they don't share a cooldown). I hope you enjoy your time with the AC as much as I do haha! Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Love your style. I love the jokes. The "reflections" is a fine change to same idea. The final fun fact is good stuff and very cool you're going to keep doing them. The skips are fine i especially enjoy the fast forward. today with teleports rather than fast forward kinda threw me a bit but it was fine. Just keep doing what you're doing, dont burn out. I enjoy the deep dives for missions. And finally, today i saw a gateway to the upsidedown and had a laugh. #goodtimes while im here ima rewatch your other videos. There's so much to digest im certain ive forgotten something on my journey to lvl9. Thanks for creating and sharing with us

First of all, I would like to thank you so much for trying this loadout Phacil ;-) 380mm after upgrade should destroy most of any bases or leave it as wasteland, while airstrike with right angle can take out large amount of fabricators with extra bombs and 3uses every 2 minutes .Jump pack for getting out of bad situations and to get where you normally cannot access or hide. Autocannon sentry with upgrades can vaporize at least 2 patrols, help you evade pursuit or provide backup in case you need to stay in place. Dominator with stuns as you greatly demonstrated destroy hulks, devastators and even tanks.(can be swapped for scorcher which can take down gunships but where is fun in that :) ) Senator is great for weak spots (can be swapped out for greanade pistol for extra firepower vs fabricators) Trailblazer as mentioned, one of the choices for run/gun/hide approach in solo play. I am very glad that you tried it and enjoyed it, its no meta but why play with same loadout over and over? Your mental health, gameplay tips are as always top notch, thank you for those. One more thing, maybe if you kindly can, could you recommend us some of your "not mostly used" loadouts so we could try them? Sincere regards, wish you all the best and cannot wait for more of your content

Not just ingame, just looking back into what you did (anywhere) and checking with yourself wether you're proud of it or not. If we're sending in builds, please try mine. I'm a little unsure about how good it is, and would like some advice. Equipment: Breaker, Redeemer, Standard Grenades, with Light Armor (with extra padding if you can), Stamina Enhancement Stratagems: Stamina Enhancement, Napalm Strike, 500kg, Grenade Launcher, and the Backpack Laser Drone. You could also get rid of the BLD and GL for an Autocannon and a Mortar Sentry if you want.
Awesome! Thank you for the build. Will do my best to get a good run in for you. I'm assuming you would like a Terminid run, due to the Napalm Strike (if not then I recommend the Airstrike instead). Let me know if you want me to do an Automaton or Terminid run in this loadout!
I would recommend running Terminid, as I personally hate the Hunters, and want them gone. Other then that, you can pick which faction you think would be easier.
Roger that. Haha I think everyone hates Hunters! Ok, this loadout works well against Terminids I think. The fire damage can work OK against bots but I think it's mostly dominant against bugs. Will do, thank you for the input!
Great vid! I always learn a lot from these. Cuts vs fast forward: I find cuts hard to follow, especially for a mostly-real-time video like this. For me the decision-making of how you move around the map, order objectives, and avoid patrols is still interesting as I learn how to handle high difficulties. Buuut I also think more people will click on a 23 minute video than a 35 minute one. To me, what makes this channel unique is clear communication of how you make your decisions (run vs fight, stratagem vs stealth, hunter vs. bile titan second-by-second). Not just through voiceover & tips, but by watching. Tier lists & generic tip videos are great, but these videos demonstrate how to actually APPLY that knowledge.

That the decision-making is part of the fun for people watching the videos. I placed a poll to see if people mind the long videos and for now it seems to be going in favor of longer videos so I'll probably go back to the fast-forwarding. @@PhacilGaming If it helps, I think CommisarKai does a good job of showing decision making too. The difference between good to great players seems to be less about aim & the right weapons/stratagems, and more when & how to fight given the variables of each mission so that you avoid being overwhelmed or running out of time.

The autocannon being my favorite weapon, I somehow didn't know that you could just shoot the factories with it.
I'll be honest, I've been loving the railgun lately but I still don't feel it competes with the autocannon. You can basically do everything with the AC haha!

Impressive to see just how much endurance the supply pack grants you: wading through gunship fire for so long is quite the testament. Start: 6:06 (in-game 34:12) Mid: 7:22 (in-game 32:05) End: 13:45 (last interaction with a gunship, in-game 25:15) Huh - after looking over the timestamps, I guess the quick clear was key. And to that end, that HB placement was vital, since every minute is another gunship you can't take out.
Exactly! It's ridiculously underestimated in my opinion, you could argue the Shield Generator pack prevents you needing all those stims but the Genpack doesn't give you nades. Nor does it make you versatile and capable of assisting your teammates. Yeah for sure, taking out fabricators (and nests for that matter) is always a huge deal. Specially since this last patch they buffed patrol spawns. Often you're busy enough just fighting patrols and dropships, so the fabricators will decimate you. great new channel I've discovered here, love the positivity and focus on improvement. Here's my helpful tip for ya, the grenade pistol is great against the Walkers, aiming high on the front usually takes em down in one shot and is always a great option if your primary is lackluster against them.
