That's a lovely dress, but I'm not sure your ideas about what middle class women's lives were at all like in the 1860s. Do you really imagine women were tellers and librarians or that "middle-class women" worked at all in the 1860s?
He is at your house eating the water pie you left on the sill cooling.
Such a beautiful dress and love that it is patterned fabric.
Beautiful skirt and top. Did you make or purchase this 1860s outfit and all the under garments? Looking forward to the bonnet.
I made the dress and all of the undergarments myself as I find it hard to find accurate reproductions for purchase :)
What a gorgeous dress, I cannot wait to see the bonnet!!
وای من قلبم گرفت از این همه لباس
Why would you wear the pantaloons over the shift?
Nice outfit and hair
Looks like fun. I wonder what it feels like 😢
Weirdo here
"You know we have machines for that now, right" forced smiles thinking, be nice to the puplic be nice to the public 🫣
Oh all the time! I got aren't you a little old to play dress up? Mam I'll do this as a little weird woman.
Oh 💯
All of your clothing is beautiful. I look forward to more!

I concur.
Nice trunk. This is such a beautiful dress.
I love this dress. Gorgeous on you.
Oh my so pretty, did you use this lace on one of your dresses?
Such a good video. Love the forest setup!
I love all of your dresses
It’s working.
Where is the shift from, or what pattern did you use?! I have been looking for a good 1840's shift pattern but to no avail
The pattern for my shift is self drafted, if you reach out to me @_HistoryIsBeautiful_ on instagram I would be able to share with you my process for drafting my shift/chemise pattern
@@HistoryIsBeautiful I just recently deleted Instagram! Is there any other way I might be able to contact you?

I know this is weird but I love the soft crunchy sound starched petticoats male.
God I’d love to dress in these things, but it makes you wonder… what did they do when they really had to go?
@@paolaterrazas5905 we will be answering that question in the next short !
They would use a chamber pot or outhouse 😅
Okay you wonderful time traveller, please, where did you get the pattern?
Dm on my instagram _HistoryIsBeautiful_ and I’ll share all the pattern information:)
good times
I love the versatility of this over bobbin lacing ! I think a lot of tatting would be used too!
Hey fellow weirdos! So glad that we can connect as a tribe over the internets!
Hello! I am “pure”! Lovely to meet you all. 😁👍
DRESS UP IS MY FAVORITE GAME! Getting old happens to us all; But growing up is optional!
I love you just as you are!
I love it so much!
Are they split bloomers?
Yes they are; rather convenient lol
Awesome!
He came to your spot, and waited quietly until he saw you. When you finally entered the clearing; he got a full view of you. He was immediately struck breathless by your beauty! You were so pretty; that he was simply captivated! He was so overwhelmed by this vision of you in the clearing, that he lost track of time just admiring you. It wasn’t until you started to leave that he realized he hadn’t said anything to you! He is the shy, reflective type. As you start to leave he runs after you to let you know; he did in fact show up! 🤣 let me know what you guys think.

That is so beautiful and delicate!
*WAIT LADIES AND GENTS* As her husband, I'll tell you how the morning REALLY went! She woke up and took our last lemon & mixed it with water to clean her nails. I raised my voice at her and she said "OH, NO YOU DI-UUH". I was then scared because she prepares all of my meals and the water in our old well in the back is contaminated with tuberculosis. To pivot, but maintain my dominance, I told her that I want some lovin when I get home tonight. She DELIBERATELY over layered knowing that my hands blister after smacking horses on the rump all day so I will struggle removing them. Yeah.. that's her
I think you could be the sister I didn't have!! I love to dress up too
I am exactly the same way 😊
How mush does this outfit over all cost?
I made it my self from start to finish cost of material for everything would probably 400-800 to purchase all the layers would be significantly more
@HistoryIsBeautiful $400. - $800. Or $4. - $8.
Hand sewing makes it so every piece has more love.
mum- “what do u want to do when u grow up?” me-“sew historical clothes and live in them for ever and ever”
I love the outfit!! The 1860s has got to be my favorite period for ladies’ fashion. Please post more vids! Also, would I be correct in assuming that this would be worn by the middle class?
Yes this would be a middle class dress :)
Relatable! 😂
Its so exciting to see people who also love historical clothes from this period of time! So happy i found your channel ❤ keep doing what you are doing :)
Miss you are absolutely stunning, never stop what you’re doing
