I followed these instructions carefully yesterday as I replaced the battery on my '13 TDI T-Reg. The video was incredibly helpful; the only thing it didn't mention was the effort required to remove the battery's cover. That was not fun! All in all I was in there, under the tilted back front seat for about 4 hours, going from "this is a pain in the butt" to "What the fork was going through their mind when they designed this??" THANK YOU for the video - of all the ones I have seen, This one is the best of them.

I just did mine and my seat is stuck it won’t move back no more than half ways. And I don’t know how to get it to work right. It was working fine before the removal of the battery. Any idea what if maybe. Thanks

Going to ( when it isn't 100 + degrees here), replace rear shocks/ struts, rear sway bar links, rear disc brakes and rotors, both sides in less than a day, I hope, Lol! May not want to talk to me for awhile after I finish, I'm 70 and will be dog dead tired, but get-er-done!

When you loosened that bottom 10m on the solenoid did you loosen it from the side or did you position your wrench from the transaxle then up

Here's the trick till you fix it correctly his way . Key stuck shifter in park smack the shifter with palm of your hand towards dash and down . Works in a pinch when your late for work ect .. leave a comment if it works for your saturn 2003 ion .

You need to torque the bottom bolt to 70 and top to 40.

I have this exact same car with the dent and all. Just a different interior. I'm about to fix it up good. It tends to shut off sometimes when I come to a stop. I'm going to a full tune-up on it and go from there. All in all I know it's a great car it was just sitting for a while.

I just removed the one screw on that piece and tie wrapped the metal clip. Just leave it dangling literally. Key comes out in any gear whenever I want. Problem solved. It’s been years.
