First you have to learn how to check your apples and pull off diseased ones, ones with bug holes, bird holes and branches with too much fruit on them!! As a teenager my job for two weeks was thinning apples! No doubles with 15 centimeters between each fruit! Nobody wants to buy small buggy apples! You have to learn to harden your heart and remove the extras! You have to learn how to control bugs and fungi that want to injure your leaves.even more bugs will find your trees as time goes on! Be ready for them! Good luck with your farm!

Nice work my friend… a couple of questions: which type of rootstock are you using ? M9 ? Which variety is your scion? Thanks. From my studies of apples. Normally most varieties are patented and we are not allowed to just graft unless we have a special permit . I want to get into apple orchard business but I am searching where I will get a permit to do what you are doing.
