    On what basis does this man separate the civil rights movement and the LGBT movement? Why does he claim I am satanic just for existing quietly in my apartment with my wife, daughter, and puppy? Why does he consider it an important civil rights issue for black people to be treated with kindness, but then considers it not just immoral, but actual *_SATANISM_* for gay people to be treated with that same kindness? The kindness that Jesus showed the woman at the well? Imagine if Jesus just called her satanic and that's where the story ended... Crap like this is a big part of what pushed me out of the church. I used to go 4 times a week and was a happy kid in youth band playing guitar, but these types of people were SO vocal, they make it loud and clear that people like me and my LGBT friends are not welcome in the church as equals. The way they treat gay people like an evil "other" to distance ourselves from is disgraceful.

      Hi Katy - I'm sorry your experience in the church has pushed you away from it. While we may disagree on lifestyle choice and what it looks like to put Christ first in how we define and live out marriage, we do not believe that treating gay people with kindness is satanic. You bring up the woman at the well and Jesus' treatment of her and we would fully align with how Jesus handles this interaction; He acknowledges her sin and invites her into relationship with Him. He points out that the way she is pursuing relationship and intimacy is out of alignment with God's design for marriage and sexuality, and offers a loving and grace-filled opportunity to turn from sin and find life in Him. We believe the same is true of LGBT relationships and of any other sin called out in Scripture (pride, anger, selfishness, gossip, etc.). We are praying for you; may God richly bless you with His kindness and presence today!

      We believe acknowledging our failure as "king" and trusting Jesus as the true King is the best decision anyone could ever make, and we're thankful Jesus invites us all into that relationship with Him. Praying for you!

    If you like me are one who names the name of Jesus and humbly walks to know to know his will and do it, I truly believe in these troubling times God wants us to be bold and pray big about everything we see that pushes against the light. If you knew that God was waiting personally for your prayers to send Angels On Assignment how much more would you pray... be bold pray big push against this current Darkness. Almighty God is waiting to be invited into every situation for you personally and for the world...Our weapons of warfare are not carnal But Mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds... Father God lift the veil and help us to see what is truly going on in the spiritually Fallen Dark World. Help us to be the light to be bold For Your Glory. Praying not against the person or government but for them. We pray against the spiritual Dark Forces that drive them. Father your word says that you would that none should be lost. Help us pray...

    I see what you’re going for, but God doesn’t speak in exclamation points. He speaks in periods. His voice is a still quiet voice. Satan will speak in question marks and exclamation points because he lies and will want to drown out the truth with lies. God doesn’t need to speak in exclamations because the truth will simply show itself to be truth.

    • @redemptionchurch639

      Thanks for the comment! It would seem that God speaks His statements in both a still-small-voice (as in 1 Kings 19:12 with Elijah), and also a loud thundering response (as can be seen with God's conversation with Job 38-41). But I think the point in this clip is not that God is yelling; rather He is making a declarative statement of truth as a rebuke to the enemy.

    Ah yes the important doctrine of Sola fide (justification by faith alone) also taught in the Bible here: James 2:24 "you see how a man is justified by his works and not by faith alone" But really it's by faith alone you see, just do a few twists and turns here and there and scripture will say it!

    • @justincottrell6928
      @justincottrell6928 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      James means the same thing in 2:24 as Paul means in Romans 3:28. When he says justified it's meant to read as "declared righteous by God" tying back into the idea of faith without works is dead. The NIV has a good translation of it “You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone”. It's talking about the reality and trueness of your faith. What we refer to as saving faith is not of ourselves. As it states in Romans 4 Abraham was not saved by works but rather by faith. To be saved by God faith is it. To God our works are filthy rags so to think you can work your way to heaven is a complete misunderstanding of not only God's Mercy but his holiness, to think of us as fallen human beings that we could possibly do enough work to even be able to stand in the shadow of God's holiness is false. All we have to grab on to as human beings is the work of the cross, so when we stand before an infinitely Holy God, we look at the work of Jesus Christ on Calvary as the only possible way God can look at us without blemish, and that my friend is the saving faith that gives you your salvation. Through that saving faith comes the good works that we now as believers begin to perform not out of a way to gain us anything from God, but due to the work of the Holy Spirit sanctifying us in a process that is never completed till we're in our glorified bodies in Heaven one day. God bless

      @@justincottrell6928 James 2:24 and Romans 3:28 are actually not talking about the same kind of works. James 2:24 says a man is justified by his works and not by faith alone. Romans 3:28 talks about a person is justified by faith apart from works of the law. They are not the same kind of works. You don't understand Saint Paul knew there were 2 kinds of works. Good works. And bad works. You have them lobbed into one category.

    • @dman7668
      @dman7668 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@justincottrell6928 if only faith alone makes you righteous why does the bible say Abraham was justified by his works when he offered his son Issac on the altar? People have the internet now. You can't hide details like that from a lay person like you could 600yrs ago when this sola fide doctrine came out invented by Martin Luther, not the early Church and not the bible.

    • @justincottrell6928
      @justincottrell6928 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dman7668 what works would you be referring to aside from the law? Also, are you Catholic? I'm just trying to gauge what your theology is before we take a deep dive into Scripture

    • @dman7668
      @dman7668 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @justincottrell6928 Yes absolutely I am Catholic. Allow me to clarify Justin, the Bible talks about different kinds of works. Good works and bad work, we learn in the Bible that when the Bible talks about works it's not lobbing them all in one category. That's what you try to do with James 2:24. You see when James says a man is justified by his works (good works not works of the law) and not by faith alone, we cannot then try to re interpret this passage as saying James thinks we ARE saved by faith alone. That would completely contradict James writings. James also wasn't merely writing that good works are evidence of your saved status, and he also wasn't writing that faith is producing good works here. He even goes on to seperate faith and works as seperate things when he writes "faith without works is dead ". Faith may inspire one to do good works, but faith isn't making you automatically DO good works. That is an act of the will, where as faith is an act of the mind.
