How The UK Government is Supporting EV Adoption

What does the government need to do to help in this? The government started off by offering grants on electric cars, that was cut out. They started off offering 0% benefit in kind for salary sacrifice. They've slowly stepped that up and guaranteed that by 2028 there will be no more than 5% benefit in kind charge on the electric cars salary sacrifice.
And thirdly, they've set or moved the 2030 deadline to 2035. However, the devil is in the detail because what they have done is put in there that every manufacturer must sell a percentage of their cars in electric form. So this year alone, 22% of every manufacturer's production sold in the UK has to be electric.
And if it's not electric, they get fined £15,000 per car. Now, this will lead to a little bit of horse training on most of the manufacturers. Tesla have got zero emissions because they're pure electric.
JLR, on the other hand, are pure diesel and petrol and only have the I-PACE as an electric car, which when it came out was a world beater. Today, it's a bystander. It's been surpassed by most manufacturers.
Therefore, JLR have to buy, a bit like buying tax credits, they have to buy credits off Tesla to bring their emissions total down. The government are making deep tracks to actually force the manufacturers to go down the electric line. In doing that, the car manufacturers will produce electric cars in abundance.
They will be available at cheaper prices, making them more affordable to people.

We believe there is a responsibility to combat climate change and transport is a major part.
That sounds like some serious copium. Climate change happens naturally, and science on that is proven. I will keep using hydrocarbon-happy diesel trucks, and let's see who gets more accomplished.

If you're using a push mover (no petroleum engine, you provide the power to cut the grass), if you're composting and helping the nutrients in the soil from what you do, if you only use products that are certified organic, if you contribute to helping nature by helping foster habitats for endangered species, you have a leg to stand on. If you're just some apartment dweller eating processed food and using the worst quality one-ply toilet paper, if you're eating common British food which their idea of BBQ is cremating a hamburger, you have no foot to stand on, and I hope you go bankrupt like the other clout-hunters.

Hi Stu, does your voice assistant work with your connected phone on Bluetooth? On mine calls work okay in and out but if I ask MG to call Bill Smith it says either, that contact isn’t in your list or it phones someone else entirely.

Yes you can set it 70 80 or 90 percent in the car
Good review we just collected 2023 model in Camden grey - has a rear wiper one pedal driving 18 inch wheels with different covers also centre rear head rest which I removed as it hampers rear vision no software glitches early days yet but very pleased with this car Thanks.
Hi, sorry but I didn't see no Seat height adjustment , just in or out and back angle, seat didn't seem to raise going in or out?
Lift the seat squab button to raise/lower the seat.
