Laser Bacterial Reduction | Molson Park Dental Office | Barrie Dentist
Do you always experience bleeding or inflammation of the gums even though you’re doing everything possible to maintain good oral health? Are you suffering from a serious periodontal disease and need effective treatment? If so, you could be a great candidate for the laser bacterial reduction therapy. This modern technique is able to destroy the bacteria that causes inflammation and periodontal disease. This laser procedure is designed to get rid of bacteria that cannot be easily removed through a simple professional dental cleaning.
Through the laser bacteria reduction technique, bacteria can be reduced from billions down to hundreds. During treatment, laser is used to access and remove inflamed gum tissue. The infected tissue is removed and the root is exposed for scaling to begin. Laser promotes the regeneration of the area between the gum and root hence faster healing.
This treatment is easy and comfortable. It also comes with a wide range of therapeutic benefits that help you to improve your oral health. Other than bacteria reduction, the laser also helps to get rid of inflamed excess gum tissue by providing a noninvasive technique to access gum tissue. It is considered a less painful and better treatment option for some forms of periodontal diseases.
Laser is also great at speeding up the healing process, reducing the pain and discomfort that comes when you have cold sores or canker sores. If you have any questions regarding the laser bacteria reduction technique, visit us at Molson Park Dental Office or browse through our website for more information.

    Congratulations on the procuedure, As laser safety officer I would suggest eyes protection, in the case of little infants a mask as it´s not possible the lens, and will be interesting to see the parameters of the ablation, as is taking some intents to do the procedure , perhaps its not well inserted the tip in the device as I can see the light in the base.

      @SkyLight724 my daughter had a grade 4 lip tie released at a month old, if you look that up it's where the frenulum notches the bone and if she had grown up with it she would have a severe gap between her front teeth. She's also had a tongue release done this week at almost 4 months because it was somehow missed previously but was so bad she was severely struggling to gain weight consistently and was in yet another weight plateau despite supplementing with A LOT of formula. So far she's slept better and has stopped having scary breathing problems, leaks less,is working on better breastfeeding, and can finally hold a pacifier in her mouth if I decide to give her one. For some babies it's not an option to wait till they're older and side note a tongue tie can cause a cascade of body/muscle problems that are often more expensive to treat.

    Can the baby breast feed normally after the treatment?

    • @thataintu
      @thataintu 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The primary purpose of the frenectomy on an infant is to facilitate breast-feeding. The babes often breast feed immediately after the procedure. Many moms would say ‘it was the best feeding they’ve ever had!’

      @@nightshade1621 an effort should be made, with a patient of any age, for that matter, to keep instruments out of view. This would be done to reduce anxiety and for patient safety in case of the unlikely instrument falling Having said that; 1. an infant doesn’t see that well to start with. 2. An infant, quite frankly, has not yet been taught to fear the unknown. The procedure is virtually painless. Keeping them nestled in their own comfy car seat, with careful manipulation of their numb lip, does not, in our experience create anxiety for the babies. Generally, anxiety is seen in older kids and from parents transferring their fears to the child- justifying our request to have parents wait in the reception area or at least out of the child’s view.
