Vancouver is still cheap

There are mostly very good areas in the bay ward. Unfortunately there are some places of a few block radius' to avoid such as very close to bayshore shopping center and down in behind farmboy. Otherwise its good and for realestate it has been low on the radar for years due to an older demographic and continues to appreciate. Rideau and Byward Market are top on my list to avoid and getting worse over the last 10 years.

Respectfully, I've never seen as many physically repulsive people as I've seen in Ottawa. They seem to mirror the disgusting neighbourhoods they live in. Far cry from the Tulip Festival I was sold on. How do the rest of you see it?

Personally I'd stay away from the Rideau Street / Market area. Tons of crap there all the time.

Only safe places are the Glebe it's a richer area or people study no gangs, the rest of Ottawa is bad now.

I live in Bells Corners and it’s definitely good for families. I agree, not the best schools though.

I've not lived here long but Orleans also seems to be a good place for the 30's, 40's and 50's.

Dont live downtown. unless you want to deal with palestine protests that have been ongoing for nearly a year and honestly, has been far more disruptive to day-to-day life than the freedom convoy.
