Ludicrous music. Totally ruined all your filming and editing efforts.
Was on the Camino 6 times and I love the Meseta. Will be back this May, even though a busy time then
How many other pilgrims did you encounter on this Camino ?
Hi Lizzy, the vía bayonne and Meseta were very quiet. I think a lot of pilgrims avoid them in July and August because of the heat. The San Salvador and Primitivo are cooler because of the mountains, so people were walking these routes, which has less accommodation and we struggled on a couple of nights to find somewhere to sleep. We walked the Frances in September and October 2022 and it was very busy.
I walked the Camino in 2023 and I really enjoyed meseta. Thanks for sharing.
Made exactly the same from june 29th to july 6th and recognised all places!! Meseta was not so terrible
@@jolivavoz We love the wide open expanse of the Meseta and the colours vary so much from sunrise to sunset. It is an incredible place!
Hi how do you find this trek? Is it very steep and very well marked?
Hi, generally the Primitivo is okay. A little steep in sections, particularly out of Oviedo to Grado and through the hospitales.
Hi, yes the route, like most of the popular Caminos are well marked with yellow arrows. We normally have an app on the mobile if we want to double check anything.

Nice, bring back my memory there in 2022.
Nice, i just did Sarria - Santiago. Thinking doing that one 2026. Is that part good with directions? Is it always so empty there😂
Hi, yes there are lots of arrows. We really love the Meseta. Speaking to the Albergue owners they said August is generally quiet because people find it too hot. Sometimes we were the only ones in the Albergue. We also walked it in late September 2022 when it was a lot busier. Buen Camino! 😃
@@novinonocamino Thank you, I thought so too. There is not much shadow from the trees. I am thinking about May. As I dont have that much vacation to walk the whole Camino in once i have to divide it. But its always so hard to decide which part😂 next. Right now either Meseta or Pamplona to Burgos. Maybe you can give me in put where the uphills were harder Pamplona Burgos or Sarria - Santiago?
@wanderslust1781 Hi, the Meseta is relatively gentle. I think people worry about the heat and perhaps they think the landscape will be boring but we love the openness and the continuous views. Pampalona to Burgos is more undulating than Sarria-Santiago but not as challenging as St Jean PDP to Pampalona. 😄
@novinonocamino thank you for your input. I am thinking doing the meseta april/mai 26.
Hi . Guys how you doing
@@spo72 good thanks. Dreaming of the next camino. How you guys doing?
@ we are good thanks. I am in for my knee replacement week Wednesday , then hopefully we are looking into the fisherman’s trail in Portugal next year . I think we will give the Camino’s well full Caminos a rest for a while now😂. Glad you are both doing well
Also the Camino hospital ruin just before Castrojerez was stunning!
We loved it as well, but we weren't quite brave enough to stay there. Maybe next time...
I really loved the meseta. It’s such a beautiful part of the Camino for sure
Yes we love it, that's why we shared it - glad you enjoyed, and we hope to do it again soon!
Year old shoes + 800 km on the Camino. That’s what I’d call value for money😂
Yes they should. We respect and love the stones. Those that gather at solstice are passive. No fights or damage. Mutual respect love it
amazing route
one of the best days with my parents
In an ideal world, a place with such significance to a wide audience should have the funding to afford security to preserve the monument while the public celebrate there. Its a shame vandals ruined the opportunity for people like me before we got to go 😔
