Well the photos are out and it looks like one of the best modular's ever.

The dark ages reference to the period in a LEGO fan's life, when they loose interest in their beloved little LEGO bricks. The end is when you start with Lego again 😊

I really like this set. I agree, having a whole village of these up on a shelf somewhere would be really cool.

I hate that I missed out on the mushroom house. I definitely plan on getting the mushroom village when it drops next year. It will be perfect for a Shire moc.

Epic set

Art of Chocky I think could be turned into a summer style Modular building very easily. Remove the few white pieces on the roof and put it on a mils baseplate with a tree, and you have a twofer. Its a Christmas village classic, then you turn it summer modular for the rest of the year...two fer one style. Lost City was pretty much fraud. They kept the back hidden from us deliberately because they knew it was bad. There was only photos of it from the front which looked great, and if the back looked as well as the front it would have sold plenty. Lost City was Only chosen because the back was hidden from us, that is fraud.

Man that CinderHowl is sick. It makes any medieva/fantasy l set pop.

Nice idea with the experiment lego sets, I think they should definitely make more sets like the Dark Falcon.

Very detailed model. I’m looking to go in a different direction with the Loco by building the contemporary modern engine which pulls the Orient Express today, and try and find a way to shave some weight off the carriages themselves.

I think Lego running out of ideas for modular, all I can think off is a hospital and a school, as for Marvel they can make the Baxter Budling, Oscorp Tower and Fisk Tower.

So they "Orient Expressed" the Botanical Gardens, took a great design and changed it into a still okay design but not as good. One day Lego will realise that not everyone lives in a 20,000 square foot mansion, so turning an already wide design another 16 studs wider making it two baseplates might just make it too large. I just do not have space long term for a two baseplate building that really needs to be on its own. Have fun building.

this video is perfect. the lack of editing, the multiple takes, the repeated mistakes about what basic stuff from the series is called... its amazing. the piece de resistance is the title, obviously a cheap attempt to drum up rage that doesn't even come close to representing your opinion, or even a position you're arguing against. this is properly grimy, bottom-rung lego youtube, perfectly distilled. my compliments.

I got the Lost City and the camper. I really like the lost city for the architecture and color scheme.

Seems like every collector wants different things. Me personally, I didn’t get into modular buildings until 2022, so my options are much more limited and I have no specific wants or expectations from the series. I’d even be totally okay with them just remastering some older sets, or even reincorporating certain things into newer sets like Assembly Square did. Beats paying $700 for some of those older modulars with simple building techniques and complete empty interiors.

I think your argument could be flawed. You said the botanical garden looks like a better set… but we don’t know what either will actually look like yet You can’t compare the Modular’s to any other icons sets, they were the OG adult set, YEARS before “icons” existed” (I knew it was something different when I bought my cafe corner back in 2007!!!) You’re saying you’re concerned about the side building… but why do you think there will be a side building, it could easily be one building like the green grocer, town hall, or fire brigade. I have bought every Modular, pretty much as soon as it is released, since 2007 and we haven’t had a residential building yet, so I’m excited for it to join the others. Personally I don’t think the Modular’s should be joined with the other “icons” sets. They are an entire theme of their own… they used to be classified at “Creator Expert” and that’s how I still think of them.

I'll wait until we see some pictures of it before making up my mind. Give it a chance.

I dont think "Residential Townhouse" is the official name for this modular. I think thats just what someone said it might be. It could very well be a large apartment building with a store attached. It could end up being anything. With such a large piece count, its going to be an amazing set packed with detail.

What are you concerned about? If it’s a good model at a good price, people will buy it. If not, people won’t buy it.

Following the pattern of modular buildings, this year's set should be a corner building. So if it's indeed a townhouse at least it'll have a unique shape and hopefully some cool building techniques. However, I'm still hoping it's a Hospital modular building.

nah it'll be great. we don't really have any modulars for the minifigs to live in so this will be cool. I have faith in Lego I'm ready to see what it looks like

Hey good review ive heard from other places that in real life the cranes this size actually dont turn wheel-wise so this is actually pretty accurate all things considered. And to help with the supports that come out they actually have feet on the back section that you take out and attach so hope that helps!

How did u get that NS loco???

Just picked this up for myself recently and I totally dig it. Very good scale and the figures you get were really really cool. Some of my favorite sets as a kid were the original Avengers sets from the first movie, so getting the same figures but updated all these years later was super cool. And the additional Leviathan set that just came out that has the Hulk was also a really cool build. My only gripe is Thors new face. It fits modern Thor but Thor from that era was very much not the smiley guy we’ve had since Age of Ultron lol. Overall I really like it
