Ultimate tool trailer inspired by Ron Paulk
มุมมอง 68K4 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the tool trailer I use for doing HVAC work and flipping houses.
I love the layout and design. Several ideas gained from the build but I feel like 20’ is massive for a residential trailer. If in an apartment complex or townhouses do you sometimes wish you had the 14’ back? I am struggling hard with what size I should buy. Really leaning on a 7x14 tandem axle for residential HVAC.
@ChevyORwalk literally just bought an 8.5x16 last week. I hope to do a video on it once I'm done building it out. 20 was huge. also the 7k axels made it tall, so getting in and out was hard on the knees
Nice build really nice! Thanks for sharing.
How did you make the sheet metal tops?
I had a sheet metal shop cut and break 18 gauge sheet metal with a 4-inch backsplash and 2.5 inches on the front with a hem. Then I stacked two pieces of 3/4 plywood, screwed and glued together, and then silicone the sheet metal to the top of that
@@Nick-vs9tq thank you! I'll be using this in my trailer
That small break is a real nice addition - man I really need to get this size trailer
Hey thanks for sharing the trailer …. But i dont think most care about where things go or what time tools you have …. But how you came up with the build … how you decided where to put things … how your flow was set up to as to what kind of work you do …
Nice trailer, well thought out.
Beautiful trailer. What type of insulation did they use for the walls? And did you put the interior plywood up? What thickness? Thank you!
It's just fiberglass in the walls and ceiling, and the plywood is 3/4 that came from the factory. If I were doing it again, I would spray foam.
Buen trabajo
Nicely Done! Love Ron's stuff he has inspired me along the way as well. I've been looking for an alternative for recovery tank & refrigerant storage, your approach of storing the tanks on shelf may very well be the answer I was looking for. Thanks for sharing its appreciated.
A few years in. How are the craftsman boxes standing up to use in the trailer? I saw someone else's video said they didn't take the stress well on the roads
They held up really well so they made it 6 years driving around and I have a 2-mile long dirt driveway to my house. Unfortunately not related to the tool trailer my shop caught on fire and burnt the tool trailer up including all my tools over inside in the process of inventorying and going through it now hoping to post a video about it when I'm all wrapped up
Super nice trailer. Thank you for sharing.
Super nice setup.
Very nice
Very nice--thanks for doing the video. I just bought a 6x12 and looking for ideas to build it out. I'm not in the trades, so I'm hoping I can get by with this size and still end up with something useful.
Beautiful job, I have a small shed that I use as a woodworking shop, so your trailer gave me a starting point to start the organization in a small place (12x16). Perfect! Thanks for taking the time to do the video.
Nice job!
Did I hear you say u have a heat pump??? What model? We’re in Maine and could definitely use some direction there
It's a Dometic penguin 2 if I were to do it again I'd probably install one of those ductless mini splits because the heat pump kicks out whenever the outdoor temp is below 32 so it works fine in Mild cold temperatures but anytime it drops below freezing I have to put a supplementary heater in it you know like a little resistive fan type.
I like it. Simple and plenty of work space. Nice. Thanks for the viewing. 👍
I really appreciated your video. I'm working out how I want to do my trailer. I really like Ron's layout, but there are a few things I want to change. Your video gave me some great ideas.
Outstanding job!
Hi, whats is the weight of the trailer with the tools ? ( approx )
9800lb ish
“This is my “I still don’t know what I’m doing with” section” Yeah, my section is 7x14. That’s why I’m here!
Fn dope setup
Impressive! Nice job. Wish I could be this organized
As far as freezing temps, either get a cooler or a fridge and toss a heating pad in there, I got that setup in my truck in the freezing temps of northern us, works great
Wow. You have an outstanding setup ... looks great and gives me inspiration as I am trying to get my own trailer setup as we speak....
Nice!
You want to also get your chains inside that proven industry lock, I have same lock and my friend just had his trailer stolen and they just hooked chains up and dragged it.
bravo! difficile de faire mieux
I watch this video 10 times. I want this set up How much you spend on that trailer?
The trailer was 13k before linex floor and build out
Really nice and some great ideas. Looks really organized and well thought out
Love the husky/craftsman drawer setup with the workbench. Like the idea of having a mobile garage
Nice trailer
high & tight just like a work trailer should be. i like the brake setup
Hello from Kirkland WA! Great build, love the metal covered bench top and integrated drill press.
This trailer is amazing

Professional working tool trailer and helpful to others building clean efficient build , thank you . Love the work space in the middle.
Hey Nick do you like the flat nose vs the v nose trailer over your years of owning different trailers thanks !
It really didn't make a difference to me V-nose or flat what I did care about was the roof I didn't want a flat roof we get a lot of snow and I wanted it to all melt off so I wanted an arched roof for snow and for some additional Headroom and so you can't get an arched roof with a V-nose. From my dealer anyway. Thanks for the question.
Proč Lasko?
Great work! It is so sad, that such a trailer wouldn`t work with german streets and german towing-vehicles and german parking-lots.
Nice. Beautiful. Whats the part number for the braker?

Tremendous setup and layout.
Nice 👍🏻
I keep coming back to watch your trailer video for inspiration on mine. Great work!
Nice Setup! I cant wait to build mine. What A/c heat pump did you get?
Great to check out this trailer. I’m an hvacr guy and have been debating building a trailer for work. Great video. Great trailer.
Sweet. I bet that is fun in a city!
Nice use of the Craftsman tool box drawers. They work perfectly, I like the kaizen foam cut out organization. You can always tell when something is missing. The most expensive tool is the one you buy twice. Great job!
Dude, I love that metal brake set up... cool as frig
