Movement detector using basic logic circuit
I will remake a better video once the LIKES reach 2000 for this video. This type of circuit can be used to detect the speed and direction of a spinning shaft or disk using a magnet. No binary decoding needed just a single pulse for each pass per direction.

So to keep my pool in good condition I only need to run a Salt-Cell which is really a Chlorine-Generator and add salt as needed. In this video I had the pump motor off for more than a month. @@ExcelinusCom What is your location weather like? I would think in hot and direct sun would be different from shade or cooler cloudy weathers. So nice to see this. I would love to make my own. I can solder and repair wires, but I don't know how to use a meter well enough to calc resistors or capacitors, or mosfets and such. I thought mosfets were mainly found in amplifiers :-) Maybe you can make a kit for us less electronically inclined people to put together. Or maybe have a parts list and instructions ...The video helps a lot, but one with intention of a new perspective in setting up their own new kit.
Where'd you get the cell from? I made my own pool controller and would love to be able to control a salt generator cell from it and discard the control system it came with.

Lines 18 & 19 of your source code use the equ statement to assign register locations to the labels, count 1&2. Lines 20 & 21 use the same equ statement but seem to create a literal constant reference of 0xff. What is different about lines 20 & 21 that causes the assembler to treat the equ statement differently?
@@ExcelinusCom Thank you very much. The funny thing is, I have been using the equ statement in a similar way to this for many years. An example would be a bit designation such as the rp0 in status,rp0. It was only when I saw your usage that I questioned my understanding. My assumption that the equ statement assigned a label to a general purpose register has been a long held misunderstanding. I now see that in the past I have sometimes wasted GP registers by loading them with a value that is intended to be constant. It's hard for me to believe that I have missed this fundamental understanding for so many years. Thanks again.
