Granted the face mold was a dirty trick. Still it seems Glover massively overplayed his hand and sabotaged his career in the process. Who cares if a supporting actor doesn’t approve of how a movie ends, since nobody asked for his approval?

And yet Hollywood actors today are mostly socialist, so doesn’t everyone own their work? Of course not! This is why socialism has NEVER worked, and will never work! In socialism people want everything you have, except your job and hard work that generated what you have.

Let's bring up an incident that everybody seems to have forgotten about, but which videos of still survive - a David Letterman interview of Glover, in which Glover handled being heckled poorly and ended up making himself look silly onstage. This might have died down, but Letterman, quite cruelly, made a habit of including a clip of the incident in his "best of" episodes, holding Glover up to ridicule for years. The interview took place between the release of BTTF 1 and the start of filming on the sequel. I think in that one will find the real reason he wasn't cast. The producer was a c0ward who didn't have anybody's back. He saw drama and just threw a cast member away, like he was garbage.

I legitimately thought that was Crispin in back to the future II ... Wow. They did him dirty. He should have gotten the settlement and a very small royalty for perpetuity. You cannot through any means copy or reproduce the physical likeness of another actor without a contract with them. I mean can you imagine them using Harrison Ford's face (digitally) without getting his approval and he wouldn't approve that without enough detail to know what they intended and he would have also required final approval of the likeness. Crispin is 100% right on all counts.

I've never liked Chrispin as an actor and now I don't like him even more. He acts like he's better than everyone and that he is a moral and virtuous person. He got a big head and his ego was out of control after back to the future and he wanted to be treated like a big shot.

And that my friend is what you call an idiot. How can someone so close to the character doesn’t get that the money comes from a book he wrote because of the event with Marty. The events also have him a lot more confidence which also mean that he was less stepped on therefore probably had a better career so more money. All of that because of ego. After 40 years you can admit that you were wrong Crispin. 😂

I remember as a kid first watching these films and always wanting so bad for the REAL George Mcfly to be a part of the films in which he was not in. He’s a very odd person for many reasons but he was the one and only George and did a fantastic job with the character. They did a decent job writing without him in it, but to this day it feels like a big whole where something was missing. It’s too bad they couldn’t work it out. You gotta feel bad for him, you can tell he’s been outcasted and just wants to be part of the “family.” He made the character and movie in the first film. He should be there.

It bothers me when people say that Michael J Fox is the real Marty McFly. Yes he was the original choice for the casting directors and he did suit the role to a tee. But a statement like that seems to disregard the work that Eric Stolz put into the role. He filmed almost the entire movie and dedicated himself to the role for six weeks. Maybe Eric may have played the role dramatically but is it really that bad? Who knows? He could have delivered a great performance and surprised us with his approach. Maybe we would have had a more dramatic version of the movie that may have still been great. We can’t truly evaluate his performance until a cut of the movie version with Eric as Marty McFly is released (hopefully by next year in line with the 40 year anniversary). And even if it may not be a good performance from Eric, it doesn’t take away the effort that he put into the role. Statements like Michael J Fox is the real Marty McFly just seems to be an attempt to erase Eric’s performance from existence in the cultural zeitgeist which is not right!

Tragic that they couldn’t come together as Crispin was greatly missed especially in part 2. He was a core part of what made the first movie great. I disagree with Crispin’s view on the end. It was NOT about money. It was about prosperity!

The only people who say money can't make you happy are the people who have money. Because I know that if you have a lot of money with family your going to be very happy. Money isn't what makes you happy it's the fact that you now have the ability to live without worrying about bills and you can go on trips and do all the things you want to do with your family.

My head cannon is that Eric Stolz is the original Marty in the first timeline. He altered the time of his conception during the plot of the first movie. So he would be erased just as original Marty was about to be. We see the 2nd Marty in the movie. A new Marty with a slightly different mix of George and Lorraine. He makes the same changes the original Marty did and isn’t erased like the original so he can continue. The final time he is about to fade he doesn’t do anything to change the situation and yet hes fixed after George punches that guy. That was the point where the original faded and this new, new timeline starts.
