I will try again soon to order the midland WR-120 DSP weather radio from the midland's website.

I unintentionally got a DSP off the shelf at the local Ace about a week ago. I didn't even know they had such a model until after I was trying to turn off the button beeps, lol! I'd try checking at a place like that or maybe on Midland's website, since they're now advertising the selectable-volume alert tones.

Maybe get it from Midland’s store. They should have it there.

Is it possible to set this up as walkie talkie and noaa radio?

Like you have superpowers, but seriously if your radios doing that, I just recommend getting a new WR120, like the WR120DSP or something.

dont recommend doing that at all. you can damage the radio more by doing that.

this happened because a PNS product (public information statement) for rainfall reports somehow got into NWR and randomly got read out of nowhere (which doesnt usually happen). these types of PNS products usually have a ton of locations that got X amount of rainfall/X amount of wind speed, etc. i have a video from nearly a year ago (jesus) of my experience of a wind report PNS being read on NWR: th-cam.com/video/pccb3u04JyE/w-d-xo.html
