Hi. Thanks for your video. What kind of motor shaft grease do you use? I saw some on the hi-tech were but thought I would just get some in town. Lowe’s and harbor freight did not have any teflon based grease similar to that on hi-tech. I just got a hi tech saw 2 weeks ago, and the nut already seized up. I have been hand tightening it. Thanks so much. Teresa
Hey! I'm glad the video helped! The grease we used came right from Hi-Tech Diamonds website, they sell these little packets right there but after referencing the manual, I can also see that they say, "Apply a few drops of motor oil, way oil, lithium or water pump grease inside the arbor where it fits onto the shaft. Also apply a few drops of oil or grease onto the motor shaft, rubbing to coat the shaft lightly. Make sure there is no excess oil so that oil doesn’t drip down the motor shaft and get into the motor. This will cause an instant motor burn-out."
But also are you talking about the nut to hold the saw blade on? That nut does not need any grease only the brass bar and the motor shaft need to be greased to allow free spinning. The nut in my personal experience even when hand tightened is still hard to get off each time. You could try applying some (anti-seize) of some type on there. OR what I do is have 2 pairs of vice grips, one that grips the nut, and one that grips the motor shaft on the left side, then I pull/push them in opposite directions and the nut breaks free every time no problem. Let me know if that helps or is what you were referring to.
They are all over Oregon and Northern California on the coast in the rivers
I’d make a video cutting that with a 10” lapidary saw in a heartbeat… IF I HAD A SAW 😩 Absolutely mindblowing. 🤯
Oh my 10" saw would not be able to handle this monster! Probably need a 24" to get a good cut on this. Still, absolutely cool to see them this size!
Nice 👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤
That is awesome!!! Killer find 🎉
I wish i could share pix in the comments to show some of the gorgeous jaspers i have found along the Umpqua river where I live! Yellows, browns, oranges, vibrant reds and even bluish purples all mixed in singular stones and some are banded/layered while others are plumes of colors with nearly translucent parts swirled together! I love the fire engine reds with yellows and oranges.
Whoh.
Can you find this in England 🏴
I believe so!
Hot damn 😮
Dang! She's a PRO!
I love it
What are some rarest agates?
Agate eyes 🥹 I caught it back in the 1980 in Lincon City (Taft) Oregon. I have also found a few in the river by Corvallis Oregon in late summer when the water is lower

You need to get a Yuper Light. A guy in the UP of Michigan makes them. You can go out at night and shine ✨ it on the ground and those types of rocks will glow.
