Ai is a Guy

Art, art and more art. I'm here to share all the art that I've made, am making and am planning to make. Look for videos of me drawing, painting, sketching, sculpting, taking photos, making videos and generally creating artistic things. I'll also include advice for other artists, conversations with other artists and suggestions for creating and appreciating art on your own. And probably other art related things I haven't yet figured out.
If that sounds interesting make sure to subscribe (I really appreciate it!)

✍️Hand drawn hands by hand
For me the best way to improve something is to try it over and over. In this video I work on a body part that I've often avoided drawing because they can be tricky (and for the other AI too). As you can see the process of repeatedly drawing the same part in different positions and angles helps you get over the mental block and teaches you to just see what's in front of you.
Let me know in the comments if there are other 'problem' body parts or objects you want me to practice and record. Learning is forever (and can be fun with the right perspective). Just remember practice makes progress, not perfection.

My ⏱️Shortest Video📹
I think this type of tiny little video is called a 'bumper'. It usually goes at the beginning or end of a video as a reminder of who/what was involved in making it. I took this as a fun opportunity to try out 'magic mask' in my editing/motion graphics software (DaVinci Resolve Studio 19). It's amazing how much learning and work goes into a ~5 second video. I'm happy with how it turned out and e...
A Colorful and Energetic trip through South India
In this video we take a fast paced journey through Southern India (specifically Tamil Nadu). everything I captured was from the passenger seat of a car so you get a nice idea of what everyday life is. As you'll see the roads there's a lot of life and activity happening on them. If you're interested in art in the everyday, and other art that I create, make sure to click subscribe below ( @aiisa...
🪞👀Drawing myself by looking at...myself
See my process behind drawing a self-portrait using a mirror using crayon pencils (ko-i-noor), and pens. If you've never done it, drawing yourself in the mirror is a strange and interesting experience. You're watching yourself draw yourself...as you draw yours. It's oddly meditative and weirdly calming. 🎨Playing/Painting with watercolors🎨
This is the first time I've painted a portrait with watercolors and it was a fun experience. Still getting used to how water and the paper (Sumi-e in this case) affect how the color moves around the surface. And in case you're wondering the name of this piece comes from the gold and silver watercolor paint that I used on different parts of the face, eyes and lips. If you're interested in more p...
Mistake↔️ experiment
As you'll from this video- I made the mistake of not tightening the tripod head that held my camera. As a result the camera was facing the table for most of this drawing process. Instead of getting rid of the footage, I left it in (but it's sped up almost 20x) so it moves quickly. The scientific side of is curious as to how long people would watch 'nothing' happening before leaving the video (a...
🔴my best painting (so far)
Watch a quick video showing the process behind my most detailed painting (so far). I didn't have a clear idea of what I was going to make when I started (beyond 'a face') so it was an interesting process to watch things happen and either go with them or correct them. I Also enjoyed mixing the different shades of red and orange that make up the hair. If you're interested in more painting, art, a...
Pig 🐷 Wolf🐺
This is another drawing I did while being timed by my "hourglass" (actually a 7.5 minute glass). It's my interpretation of a pig wolf with an exceptionally detailed left eyeball. If it isn't clear from my other videos I really enjoy looking at and drawing eyes. They're the most interesting part of any face and the challenge to express their depth, dimension, color and detail is one I really enj...
⌛An Hourglass in slow motion?⌛
I realize how boring watching an hourglass seems. Now imagine watching that in slow motion. I'd like to say the concept of this video was intentional but it actually came about because I selected the wrong mode (slow motion instead of timelapse). But after looking at the footage I realized that this video is a perfect visual example of how we can experience and sense time in very different ways...
Creating art on the clock ⌛
It's very difficult to know when a piece of art is 'finished' or 'complete' and this decision is something all artists tend to (over?) think about a lot. To help myself work on this I setup an hourglass (I think it's technically a 7.5 half minute glass) so I couldn't work on the drawing longer than that. The gradual and mostly silent falling sand forced me to keep moving while also giving me a ...

As a young kid who loved art I watched Bob Ross every chance I got. With his gentle and thoughtful manner and skilled guidance I realized the power art can have to soothe the soul. As an adult who continues to love art, I still think about how Bob would take a 'mistake' on his paintings and embrace it, using his skill to either hide or celebrate the "happy accident". This process of taking 'pro...
🔵It's blue🔵his hair is blue🔵
I took the saying "you hair looks sharp" and drew the direct interpretation of it. In addition to very well defined hair this fictional person has some interesting teeth. As you'll see I used a combination of materials for this piece, including blue highlighter and orange fine permanent marker (both Sharpie). 🐔Chicken🤖 Robot
Imagine a future where (for some reason) chickens and robots are combined. If it does happen, it's very likely that the chicken robot hybrid will look a lot like this...or something else. As you'll probably see I'm having fun learning more and more effects within my editing software (Davinci Resolve 19). Definitely finding a playing card immediately
A business card/postcard would probably work too if you don't have a playing card handy
💯 Consistency is the key of success
@@mohammedhaadi253 I agree!
Future is related to Christmas via Christmas carol. I would say a hard fast rule is that two things are unrelated if you need two connections to relate them
Good observation/connection! Part of what I like about this game is that it can be as simple or complex as you want. As people get more into it they can look for deeper or more obscure connections that other people may have missed.

I would disagree, a camera is better than a phone in terms of quality, focus, sharpness and such.
You're definitely right but if someone can't have a separate camera (or doesn't bring it with them) a phone camera is still a great way to improve your skills

I fully agree in most scenarios. However I have a iPhone which has one of the lower end camera systems as far as phones go and I ran into limitations within a week of using it
@@Worldmaster-mq3vr sounds like your skills were beyond the camera's abilities
@ I guess so, but I was able to get a relatively cheap canon DSLR and that has done just fine unless I am taking video. Then I use a cinema camera from black magic
