5 Stars! I was also '93 intake at Provost School SACMP. I joined permanent force till mid 2003. Did NCO Formative course at Infantry School in '97 and enjoyed it very much. I wish the MP' s also had some videos on TH-cam, the training standard and content was very much the same.
Foxtrot Company. It was hard, hot, cold, very cold, and wet. Vasbyt crossing the Outeniquas in the snow from George back to base was brutal but some of us made it. Many got RTU'd after that.
I was there in 1991 - a 'KO' in Charlie company under Maj. Juma. My platoon (5) leader was Lt. Vermaak, but I forgot the corporal's name. I vividly remember guard duty at the north gate on freezing nights, pyn tuin, opfok, special weapons training and inspections. I won't claim it made a man out of me, but I will admit that whenever I hit hard times I always console myself by thinking: "at least it's not as bad as vasbyt".

I wish I could've gone to the old military not just to be soldier and to fullfill my dreams, but MOST IMPORTANTLY TO SERVER, HONOR AND PROTECT MY/ OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY SOUTH AFRICA. Bravo Company, Platoon 4 in 1986. Later Courses Company, doing the 81mm mortars course. In 1987 I was at 4SAI in Middelburg, Tranvaal (as it was then). The battalion was in Angola for a few months in 1987/88 and sadly we had lost 13 men KIA. Salute - RIP.

Bravo 5 in 1991. Learned so much. Tough times but I wouldnt change anything. Thank you to Cpl (and later Sgt) Anker for making us soldiers.
When i arrived at my unit in SWA in Dec 87, vasbyt v2, 94km march in 23 hrs..
Vasbyt in 1987 was 5 days long, 40-50km/ day. Last day was 21km under 3 hrs...

Was instructor of this intake. Bravo 3 Platoon Sargent Uys. This solders were excelent . Very proud of my pletoon Bravo 3.
When the Officer Comanding , a full Colonel, has a double chin full of fat, then you KNOW 💩 is coming .
