Congratulations Nathan on your pass at Colwick today. Nathan knew that if the examiner starts talking, he will want to talk back and continue the conversation. The driver sets the rules in their car, talking, music distractions - all dictated by the driver. So on Nathan's test application we asked for no talking, and Chris Allsopp ADI also asked the examiner before they went out too. That's wha...

You make the decisions about what you do. The red car has entered the junction even though the exit isn't clear. They stop and beckon the car ahead and ourselves to go in front. We don't because we can see the motorbike. The driver of the red car hadn't. THATS WHY we don't beckon people across, and if someone does do it to us, it's our decision what we do about it.

Which way will they go?
มุมมอง 472 หลายเดือนก่อน
Which way will the white car go? Did you correctly identify all the way around? How did you know? The Highway Code advises against navigation of a MINI roundabout back to the direction you came from. But it's not illegal. This roundabout gives plenty of room and the driver has the skill to achieve it, so it's no issue that they have.

Hi, do you teach people with dyspraxia?
Yes we do, although its not where we specialise. DRTN will be able to help you best.
Thanks
Have my test next week so I'm watching your colwick route vids. At 13:05, it looks liked they parked opposite the junction, did they recieve a fault for that?
@@kaymarich831 No fault as they were told to pull up there; it's was for their angled start.
32:01 they parked at the bus stop, my instructor told me that would be a fail, how did they manage to not even pick up a fault for that?
@@kaymarich831 That was an emergency stop. We are not allowed to record the audio, so I can see why you felt it was the students stop rather than directed by the examiner. Also every fault is based on circumstances in that moment; stopping at a bus stop is not a serious fault, but if it stops a bus from stopping there or impedes other road users then it may become a serious fault.
13:45 there is a 30 speed sign, is it for the road ahead after crossroad or the road perpendicular to the driver? I am confused because streets around this road are all the same, why does the speed limit change? and, is it 20 mph or 30 mph until the parallel park practice in the video?
@@PyaraSaGamingChannel What does the Highway Code say about speed limit changes? Those large signs are "Gateway" signs, where the speed changes.
very nice driving
Ehm, that ambu had a siren on...?
@@landsgevaer No, no siren only lights.
rented out van with a dangerous driver i imagine no knowledge of the highway code !
Please help my anxiety. I have watched many TH-cam videos of people stalling car in 3rd and 2nd when pulling form side to main. So I developed anxiety that manual stalling. The people who stall are some are experied 10 year and more. Have ever experienced any accident when learner stalling and seen as instructor
If you have developed a worry about stalling from watching people stall on videos; how does that transfer to what you do when you drive? Do you stall when pulling away? You are the person driving, you are in control, develop your own skill to ensure you don't stall. Pulling away in 2nd or 3rd; you are likely to stall. So don't pull away in 2nd or 3rd. Watching videos of negative content (stalling, accidents, fails) produces a negative impression of the activity and that "this is what always happens". Reality is very different
@@MooseDriving . But some experienced driver stalls the car that created negative impacts on manual car
@@deekshithm7754Yes, some experienced drivers do also stall. This is part of driving a manual car. An Automatic car reduces the chance of you stalling. An electric car eliminates stalling completely
@@MooseDriving . As per your experience what is dangerous in stalling. Because every one stall. Millions car are there never heard any problem with manual car stalling
@@deekshithm7754I teach in an Electric car, so we remove any issue if us stalling. If the car ahead stalls, we will see it and react to it.
I want to take lessons. How can I contact you?
@@Celilyasaval Thank you. You can complete the form at my website. However places are incredibly limited and I only take students with high anxiety.
Timing pls?
@@MariaAndleeb-zm5rv Why would you like to know this information?
what time and date was this test conducted, please?
@@PyaraSaGamingChannel Why would you like to know this information?
Hi, thanks for the helpful footage. I have a question about the situation at 1:38, it's a give way line and there is a silver car approaching in the direction of the road the driver on test wants to join, the driver makes their turn quite quickly however and the silver car waits. How would you know to take priority at a junction like this?
Good question. Have a look at the full normal speed version. All directions have Given Way lines, so noone has priority. Although the silver car got there first, they didn't go and therefore Lauren decided to proceed to keep everyone moving. Some people will use "First goes first" thinking. Other people will treat it like a mini roundabout and give way to anyone coming infront from the right. Good quick thinking by Lauren that the silver car wasn't going, so she did.
Would you upload the full version of this?
It is currently uploading and processing. Keep checking back for it
@@MooseDriving thank you very much. please continue the narration as well..
What was the timing of test?
@@MariaAndleeb-zm5rv Why do you want to know that?
what were the two driving faults on this one please?
One driving fault for not making progress (driving too slowly) and one for observations on the parallel park
Informative ❤️
is 'hillstart pull-up on the left' not an essential part of the test? I didn't see any..
@@PyaraSaGamingChannel "If the route allows it". So normally, yes there is one. However this route stays close to the river all the way and hardly changes elevation, so there isn't one.
Mine test is tomorrow.. helpful video

I passed my driving test today on the Colwick test route with four driver faults. A big thanks to Chris for posting such helpful videos-especially the "tik tik tik" technique, which helped me a lot!
Congratulations to you, well done. So glad we could help you.
Also in Colwick test do you go on the motorway because in your videos i don’t see you goiung on the motorway just asking
You will never go on the motorway on driving tests. We do on lessons, but you can't (it's illegal to) on the driving test

Best of luck for tomorrow. Take it one step at a time. Deal with what's happening in that moment and the next. Don't think about the past, or too far in the future. Let us know how you get on.

But he is using the bus lane?
It's a Bus, Bike and ULEV Lane. And the car is a ULEV.
Thanks

Thank you ❤
Hi Chris, how can contact you.i have a test soon and I need few lesson
Through the website would be best; moosedriving co uk
Thank you you so much
Thank you for your huge respect and help to learner
Thanks
Oww thank you so much
Why she is using bus line, and thanks alot for providing video for us in nottingham
We lazily call the "Bus Lanes". But the sign tells you what vehicles can go in. As mentioned in the video, we are in an Electric Car. This lane is for Buses, Bikes and ULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicles).
@@MooseDrivingdoes the law about going past someone on the left apply here or no?
@@hanisahloul9874 Really good question. There are several times when passing on the left is permitted and here is one. Because those vehicles can't use this lane, users of the Bus/Bike/ULEV Lane CAN overtake on the left. It's still putting yourself in the left blindspot of the vehicle you are overtaking though, which is a difficult place to see. So don't linger in that area.
@@MooseDriving thank you
Hi would you put a video to explain lady bay roundabout in colwick please
If you want to do a single lesson on LadyBay Roundabouts and Multi Lane Roundabouts we may be able to fit one in. If you complete the form at www.MooseDriving.co.uk with your details and that request in the notes section we can get in touch.
I want to lesson for you
After leaving the car park, why the car drove on the bus lane ?
We lazily call it a "Bus Lane". This one is a Bus, Bike and ULEV Lane. Our Automatic car is 100% electric, therefore classified as an "Ultra Low Emission Vehicle" (ULEV). So therefore we can legally use these.
😂😂😂😂
Narrated version are helpful, not the silent one. Thank you
Thank you for good explanation
What was the observation he failed on
It's highlighted in the second part of the video, Pedestrian and Cyclist - High risk of a cyclist who had previously been on the road going back on to the road when they met a pedestrian.
I passed this month after I finished washed all colwick routes videos in the moose driving channel...thank you❤❤
Thank you for your kind words. Learning from videos, practice and books are all useful way to then take what you have learned and apply it to the real life you are facing.
I’m confused, on that one way road if she was turning right she should have moved to the right but she stayed left, how did she pass that?
At 08:07 in to the video she enters a one way road. The road then becomes two way. There is a warning sign for this on the left, the white centre line in the road leading to the giveaway lines and the giveaway lines being double Infront of her and single to the right on the entry part of the road. These are the three sets of signs and road markings to tell us that she did correctly here.
I’m confused, on that one way road if she was turning right she should of moved to the right but she stayed left, how did she pass that?
Thank you so much for this. What time was this test?
13:15 - wondering why you asked?
My exam coming soon and I asked maybe take to city centre in morning time
@@nasreenabdelkarim8567 It's not worth thinking where you might go. Follow the route they tell you to go, deal with what's happening now and next
It was 1pm ...copy those videos in your head and what you learned in the lessons and be calm..Good luck
How she passed, she pass the umber light, examiner made me fail bc of that
It all depends on the environment around you in the moment. Amber light means "Stop if it's safe to do so". So if a car is close behind it may not be safe to stop. The examiner observes what happened in the moment and judges based on meeting a minimum standard
I counted seven police cars. Who are they after?
It is nearly impossible to find Arnold test route in TH-cam Thank you so much I really appreciated
Knowing a road that may be on the test is not very useful. You are always driving with what is Infront and around you in that moment.
