This worked, but for only about a month. I don’t have the time to keep doing this. Did anyone else fix it and then it went back to no tension after about a month?

Thank you for this, you saved me! I found that you can actually work the panels off without taking off the pedal arm, it's not as easy but I didn't want to wait for ordering the puller part. But the adjustment worked just like you showed. The only item of note is apparently Schwinn installs those rheostats in 2 different places, mine was on the top and I needed to take the right side off. That one sucks more because then the adjustment screw is behind the fly wheel, but with a small screwdriver and positioning the wheel so I could put the screwdriver through, I was able to do it. The screw turns fairly easily, and you don't need to turn it much, seeing how far the magnets moved after the adjustment you made I made a smaller turn and it was still too much so anyone else doing this I suggest turning it about a quarter turn and testing it. I ended up with at 25 my magnets are about an inch apart and that's still really stiff when you get up around 11 or more so plenty of resistance in the upper levels while still being plenty loose at 1 to 5ish. i’m being quoted 1300$ for this n i bet it’s cause im a girl🙄 i work on my car mostly myself but for issues like this i took it to a mechanic n he said oil is leaking somewhere it’s not supposed to. when i have the car running n i opened the oil cap, i heard air come out and the car started shaking. it stopped on me while driving, the rpms have been doing that up down thing but never rlly payed it any mind. but like 1300 to replace my whole pcv seems… odd

My ac light stayed on and blew hot air. I replaced the pressure sensor with the $50 advanced auto sensor, and the light stayed on still, but no cold air. Pressurized the system so high and low are perfect, and put in the $110 OE part, and now the ac light won’t stay on, and still no cold air.

Thank you for this video. I did this fix and it did buy me another 6 months or so of better resistance before it went back to little resistance even at the highest levels. I ended up buying a new servo motor for $100 which wasn't that much more complicated to install than this procedure, the most difficult part is getting the bike opened up. The bike is literally like new now. It is amazing what that new servo motor does for the complete resistance level bands. If, like me, you are considering just tossing this bike for a new one, I highly recommend trying a new servo motor.

Thanks for making this. Did you get an error codes for this? I have a C0205 code (FL Wheel Speed Sensor malfunction), and got the whole wheel bearing replaced but it did not wipe the code. Any suggestions?

For anyone watching this in the future, buy the Metra or Scosche wiring harnesses (Amazon or Crutchfield), you have to run the red ACC wire to an accessory source (I used a fuse tap in to tap into the Instrument panel cluster fuse on the engine fuse box, do not use fuses that are integral for vehicle operation or safety, you will lose door chimes and Onstar. 2010 Chevy Express 2500), and for the love of god at least use butt connectors when connecting wires together.

Great video, just did this on 270. Didn't remove crank arm. Currently finishing up 30 minutes and I'm sweating more than I have in a while, def set my adjustment too high, gonna open back up and throttle it down a tad This works, people! THANK YOU

Yo man, so mine is spinning after running, when the door is open or closed. Just spinning. Not cooking or anything. Just spinning like a zombie carrousel. You think it'd end up being the same switch, or likely another one down the line? Obviously a switch I'd say. Just "which one". Lol I'll open it up once it's done with my fillers and see which switch is actin' up, and try and free it up. P.s. thanks for the vid.
