Unfortunately this game has had an update I assume due to the server issues they have had over the past month, this caused a lot of anti-cheat issues for some people and the developers that they had resolved it for PC users but do not support the Steam Deck (Linux). With the appimage you can put that on your desktop or somewhere on your system and create your own start menu/desktop link depending what you would like. If you would prefer, you can install the flatpak by running the following in the terminal: flatpak install com.mojang.Minecraft Which would do that for you the flathub link can be found here: flathub.org/apps/com.mojang.Minecraft Otherwise there are other options if you’d like to use a thirdparty launcher like the prism launcher flathub.org/apps/org.prismlauncher.PrismLauncher

@@NiZVicious Thanks, but unfortunately both have issues that I didn't have on arch or Debian. Flatpak makes me sign in every time I boot the launcher and the tar file is ok but still annoying.

Yeah it is an anti-cheat issue. With the beta bypass launcher one would have thought the anti-cheat would have been compatible with linux but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Some people have said they can play without issue on official realms, I have tried all their steps but have never been able to. I can only ever play as host.

@@NiZVicious Sounds about right. A friend and I just tried to do the Versus Beta, but since quick play is the only real means to play that at the moment, you can't really control who is host so it's a no go. Although I would not think that would apply to just the lobby and yet it won't even let me join in his lobby for that at the moment. Keep being told they are looking to have this all fixed by the end of this year, but a lot of places I see making that claim (as recently as 8 or 9 days ago) make reference to forums, posts, and other stuff Fatshark posted about this 3 years ago so I just don't know at this point.

Nothing special stock installation of the Fedora KDE spin using the GPU drivers included in the kernel. I have installed corectl to control my GPU fans as I prefer a slow increase in noise than jumps. I have done a video on my set up Linux th-cam.com/video/Bc0C7agIIvU/w-d-xo.html It's my main OS I think the performance is great. I have done a video comparing operating systems across three games th-cam.com/video/UtXw9on6qs4/w-d-xo.html I do dual boot Windows 10 for games my friends play that have kernel level anti-cheat as they do not work on linux.

Unfortunately I do not have an answer for this. I just boot the game in Steam and it works, I haven’t done anything specific.

It is using OpenGL 4.6

For single player it works out of the box but multiplayer does not work.

I do not know as the only person I know who owns Tarkov bought it four years ago and hated it. I bought it a bit late because EOD was gone. With the marketing of 250 anyone else I have talked to about it is not interested.

Hey, yeah here is my Fedora installation and set up th-cam.com/video/Bc0C7agIIvU/w-d-xo.html In the description I include what launcher I am using and if there any launch option that are needed to get a game going if there is nothing then it is install and play, which is what Palia has been for my desktop and steam deck.

Yeah it runs great, I have not played it on Windows so do not know the difference. My graphics card is an AMD 6800XT and my processor is an intel i7-11700K. I have not played around with any mods yet so do not know how well they work but plan to when I have more free time.

@@NiZVicious awesome, thanks for the reply. With what I have been seeing, it looks like my using the radeon x530 might be the issue. I'm thinking it wasn't one that was tested. I ran a gl benchmark yesterday, and it is almost as if it is only running in software 🤪 I'll have to do more digging if I want to get it to be my main OS on that system.

Hey, I just done a few rounds without any issues on Proton 9.0-2 if you are using this maybe you could try experimental. Sometimes if this is still an issue you could try using the flatpak version of Steam.

This video was made before EA implemented the anti-cheat that broke the game. Currently BF 3, 4 and Hardline work

Yeah Fedora is my main OS. I do have a seperate SSD for a win10 dual boot for when people want to play games that have anti-cheat that is not compatible with linux. I have had no issues with my GPU, the drivers are part of the Linux kernel and yeah the audio issue was to do with proton which if I left it as 9.5 I would never had noticed but for some reason 9.5 does not resize after the launcher which proton does. Even editing the resolution files did not change it which is why I left the game running at 1080p for this video which my capture card didn’t like haha. I did find this today as I was curious as to why 9.5 does not resize but could be useful for other people www.reddit.com/r/fallout4london/s/xJgGlmOHS4

@@NiZVicious I mean you right click on the game and choose properties and then you choose compatibility, but my steam doesn't have that option

It seems the longer I play it the more the texture issues on one map all of the grass became the rainbow squares. The issue has been reported community.gaijin.net/issues/p/enlisted/i/PzqOXfYNcro4
