To Many Mini's? They do build up!
มุมมอง 32หลายเดือนก่อน
Overture Link for outstanding PLA: overture3d.com/ Being new-ish to 3d printing, I couldn't have imagined just how many I want to print (all of them!) and what do to with them once they are complete. Well, here's a neat and cheap idea thanks to Overture PLA using Cardboard rolls instead of plastic! Hope this gives you an idea!

Whether your build plate is too small, or the print is too large, it can still be printed! Using Meshmixer with your slicer program can help you make any print fit on any build plate. In EP.3 I show you how I'm taking the Loot Studio's Silent Coin Tavern and Inn and expanding it 220%, cutting it, and printing it on Creality K-1 Max 3d printer.

Silent Coin Tavern and Inn - EP1 Making it Mega
มุมมอง 1962 หลายเดือนก่อน
Loot Studios has an awesome Tavern and Inn that can be printed on a FDM printer, but its scaled for 35mm miniatures. I usually work with 75mm Miniatures because of the ease of painting them. So "What if" we scaled the Silent Coin Tavern and Inn by Loot Studios to fit 75mm models? Lets start at the beginning...or rather the bottom! The Dungeon! @LootStudios

    Glad I found this, Was thinking about doing this same size on a bambu p1s, then realized after watching your video I need to break out my cr-10s5 out of storage. Wont have to cut anything down.. Looks amazing dude. Great work.

      Yup, she's a beast at 220%, but so much easier to paint and see all the details :)

    How did you increase the scale?

    I just finished printing a couple 32 Tap Room pieces and they seem oversize for 32mm minis already. Or maybe my 32mm minis are too small? LOL Good luck on this huge print, looks pretty cool so far!

    So those figures are 220% as well? I am curious how the standard size compares with 32mm minis

    • @mini2mega796
      @mini2mega796 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The figures are the standard 75mm size that Loot Studios provides. (You can download 75mm or 32 mm scale). The Silent coin was meant for the 32mm scale, but since I never print 32mm, I had to scale up silent coin by 220% for the 75mm to work. (Math comes out at roughly 224% so I just made it an even 220 :) ) Hope this helps!

    instead of masking tape, is there a gridfinity base grid that you could tweak to fit the bases of your minis? that way you can print it off and use it as a reusable template for each floor

      @mini2mega796 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But with each floor a different layout...I'm thinking card-stock, cut to a square the same size as the base of the 75mm miniatures, lay those out in a grid to fit, little tape on the back of each, leave a small gap and lightly airbrush a lighter or darker color than the floor.

    I dread to think how much this project is costing you in PLA and paint ahahaha. Also, FYI, the original is 32mm, NOT 35mm (unless you printed yours larger like I did at 110%)

      32,75, 220, so many numbers get thrown around (lol) thank you! yup, 32mm! The paints not too bad, but I may need bigger brushes :)

    Looks great! I was kinda shocked at how big the Inn was at 32mm. This looks impressive to say the least!

    Yikes. How many rolls of PLA have you used already on it? Cool to see it though, thanks for the share

      So far, 12. But Im hoping that since the rest of the structure doesn't have the big rocks and landscape, it'll be less for the next floor. Thanks for watching!!
