I recently lost my wife to als and I need help with my daughters hair

Men are hairdressers so why are some persons so surprised that they can do their daughters hair. Most actresses, journalists etc hair are done by men. This has been going on for decades. In some instances they are better than the mothers, my brother was one of those.
