yeah it well kinda work at maybe 60 or a bit lower but fg in this game is really not pretty especially with 1080p and dlss on, i will suggest playing like at 1080p with 67% dlss (67% is like quality dlss in other games) at High or very high settings and it will look good, or doing a settings optimization guide video form youtube that will be good and save you some performance and still lock amazing.

i mean its really not a 4k laptop but.. you can edit as you said in 1080p as you are reviewing the footage than export it in 4k that will work but might take some time for rendering, as for blender i check the requirements and this laptop specs falls exactly between the Minimum and the Recommended specs so i guess it will work fine if its not too heavy!

I think so yes, but it might be better or worse i don’t know it depends.

its not a bad choice, but RTX 4050 won't perform good at 1440p for games you can just lower the games resolution to 1080p but at the same time 1440p will be better for watching youtube videos, movies and tv shows and 1440p will make windows and other app look crisper, the RTX 4050 is still very good for normal gaming in a laptop you will enjoy it, you well be able to run multiplayer games at high FPS with low to medium settings and you still have dlss and frame generation to boost fps, and single player games that focuses on the story will run at 60fps with High settings you will have to tweak the settings to find what best suits you, and you will use it for everything else not only gaming so i would say its good and i hope you enjoy it!

i just checked his video and it's not fully maxed settings, he does not have MSAA and Nvidia TXAA on its on in my video, Shadow quality set to high in his video & in mine its very high, Reflection Quality and MSAA is set to Very high and X4 in his video in mine its Ultra and X8, Grass quality set too Very high in my benchmark its Ultra, soft shadow is set too softest and in mine its set to Nvidia PCSS which is more intensive, post FX set to Very high and in my video its Ultra + he did not show if he maxed everything in the advanced settings, i have all advanced settings maxed which is a lot more intensive if it was not on, that's why you are seeing difference in FPS 😊

Yes there is a difference, the RTX 4060 laptop version is ≈ 20% more powerful than the RTX 4050 the 4060 has 8GB Vram and the 4050 have 6GB Vram, and there is other small differences, the 4060 is better if you can find it with a reasonable price.

Yes you’re correct, but when you are getting more than 140+ frames turning on frame generation won’t hurt a lot, you can see in the video the frametime is still less than 8ms sometimes, but if its not comfortable for you, you can just turn it off to get better response time, and when you are getting very low frames like 40 or 60 i agree with you on not turning frame generation and just use dlss

i just tried it, and it's still on alpha really slow to draw chunks and the only way to make it better is to install like 2 or 3 other mods, but the fps was above 70 all of the time with distant horizons being the only mod on, you can probably get better fps with additional performance mods it's going to be playable no problem, and there is videos of people playing with distant horizons mod on the rtx 4050 if you want to check them out.

No with distant horizon mode i meant for the 70fps, vanilla minecraft you get a lot more like 144fps locked with 12 or 16 chunks, you can see in this video from the beginning 0:00 to 1:37 is all vanilla minecraft without any modes.

idk why it happened, but maybe because the game is more gpu demanding in higher settings then low and low use more cpu and bottleneck the gpu?, i just made this explanation don't know if its true💀

Yes! of course the rtx 4060 is better, but i don't know about msi honestly, the rtx 4060 is faster then the 4050 by like 25%-30% and has more Vram 8 while the 4050 have only 6, i suggest for you to search the exact model name and watch reviews and see what people are saying, if the quality is good then go for it, if not search for a better deal or get the other one.

omen 16 is more expensive than the victus 16 with not much difference between them i think even the same performance if you have the same specs maybe, plus i got the victus 16 because i found a 30% discount on amazon and i got it at that time, and i like it a lot.

first think i thought let the shaders in the start of the game fully load you will see it in the right down corner if its not there it means its loaded, and make sure not to pass the vram limit 4:18 you can see what i mean don't let the vram usage go beyond 100%, the last thing i can think of play with the laptop pluged in and free some ram of you have a lot of programs in the background, thats all i can think of hope it helps!

That's due to the lack of vram and you will face it in many different games too, you can't really fix it since there is nothing broken, your card can't process all the rendering required by the game, so it stutters to provide you with it, you should use optimised settings from some yt video instead of rocking them to the highest knowing very well your GPU isn't capable of running it

i just tested 4k with DLSS and FG in the High and Medium Preset for you, High Preset it averaged ≈ 20 fps ans lowest was 8 fps, Medium Preset averaged ≈ 25 fps and the lowest 11, the RTX 4050 is not a 4K or 1440p card it's for 1080p gaming i just test 4k and 1440p for fun!

yeah it well with dlss and that's exactly what i have, my system spec is a Ryzen 7 7840HS and the RTX 4050 and as you can see on the video high preset with dlss averages ≈ 61 fps 5:15 , plus you can watch youtube game settings optimization guide to improve your fps and turn down graphic settings that is really demanding

It’s not available in amazon US, but i did find a good hp victus 16 with a 4070 and Ryzen 7 8845HS for 1099$ which is the same price I paid for the 4050 so it’s a better deal if you are interested… and if you're looking for lower than 1000$ you can find other good deals too

@sherdil_ bottleneck happens when the CPU cannot process the game's data fast enough to keep up with the GPU so it lowers the GPU usage because it’s waiting for the CPU to free up more resources, it happens with light games or games with a big number of players in a match… it also occurs when the CPU is not fast or powerful enough or just old

sorry for the late reply i just saw your comment, take the Ryzen 7 7840hs because its better than the i5 13420h and Minecraft is more cpu heavy than GPU, and any new mediocre GPU is good for minecraft, one last tip before you buy the laptop check everywhere, online shops for deals or any other good shops so you make sure you get it with the best price!

i had a weird glitch when i try to record with Frame Gen a weird flicker occurs in the screen but i managed to fix it now, i uploaded a short video now with DLSS & Frame gen test, but heres the performace difference: Cinematic preset 1080p DLSS Average Was ≈ 30 but the same settings with Frame Generation it increased to ≈ 64 Average and High DLSS Average was ≈ 60 and with FG it increased to ≈ 126.
