I happened to come across your video. I hope to give you a couple of advice on durians as I have my own trees. Ist no-no is never buy a that has split-open. It means the durians have been kept too long and may even have gone bad. 2nd, try pinching 2 thorns together. If it is firm, it's fresh. You can also see the if the stalks are still fresh, not dried. Try scraping it with your nail. 3rd, try picking up the fruit and smelling it. It should smell fresh, not stale. Any reputable stalls that sells good durians should also accept credit card. There are many in SS2 Petaling Jaya. They will replace the fruits if you are not satisfied with them. Happy trying! 😊

Next time don't buy the cracked open durian because it started to fermented.sometimes it already turn to sour and not fresh anymore.

Buy in bundle are cheap, but no guarantee. It's a gamble 😅 but worth it.

Go to SS2 PJ and pick to your heart's content. Rule of thumb, don't buy durian that's already open and if he's unwilling to open and pack for you, don't buy. Most likely it's not as good. If he's confident of his fruit, no reason not to open and show them in front of you.

I dont like kg durian..ofc the price is cheap..u can even get a whole basket for rm30..but the ratio of the good & bad one is like 30:70 😂 all the durian are good if u are lucky enough..then u have to keep buying bcos u are not satisfied..just a waste of money..buy a better grade durian..only buy one time & u are fully satisfied 😋

I see most of the durian already cracked open means the durians are very old and left over batch. I think initially he show you the price RM50/kg for kampung durian is too expensive, here my place can get Musang King for RM38/kg.Try to avoid buying cracked durian, normally the store I go if crack they will not sell also, considering as reject. RM100 for 7 with this quality is not cheap because they will have to throw away soon as it get bad. Many place in KL/PJ you can get good Musang King at 4 for RM100 already.😊

Whenever i seen outsiders enjoying kampung durian,its amazed me..since durian kampung is a wild taste unlike black thorn,red prawn,musang king that have one spesific taste.. glad u & the kids enjoyed it though

the taste of kampung durians are usually different from one another. So it depends on the tree and your luck actually. Kampung durians are not the graded durians like musang king and others. The taste can range from sweet to bitter and some just taste bland.. But then again, that's how durian kampung is like..
