I worked as a graphic designer for 10yrs both in-house and freelance. I love watching designer journeys like yours because it still resonates with me even though its no longer my profession as I’m now pursuing what I love which is illustration and animation. What you said in 6:49 reminds me of a professor in college who told me that when you do graphic design you tend to become “A jack of all trades but a master of none” because there’s just so many things expected of the profession unless you break off the mold which can be risky as well..

Hiiii! Your video honestly made me feel like I´m not alone, I just started freelancing 4 months ago and it has been a rollercoaster of emotion. As for discord I know it can be quite complicated so if you want to check out a different alternative Slack is really good. It’s like a mix between discord and WhatsApp

What are your go to books, inspirations, etc. I am just starting graphic design and even though I have my bachelors in design, I feel like school did not prepare me in the slightest. I feel self taught for the most part 😅
