I love both the 24 and the 72 im working on getting used to the 72 because iv used my 24 for a couple years before i bought the other one at first the straps are uncomfortable for me but i noticed with my 24 it was a break in process so i believe the 72 will probably be better for me when i break the straps in

they have a newer canister type now that they are selling i cant seem to find this model anywhere other than ebay. also dont remove the lower grate for wood its a catch to keep airflow

Has anyone tried to replace the failed batteries? I am wondering how to open it because I’d like to set it up to quickly replace the batteries with a supply of charged ones while camping. I am hoping they are 3.7v 18650 batteries.

I know it’s a little late to comment for some of you viewers, but I discovered that if you try to charge it with a USB-C to USB-C cord that has power delivery (PD) technology, it won’t charge. You have to use the charging cable that comes with it. I was trying to use the higher tech one to charge it faster, but that did not work .

I'm close to rebuilding my bag, only have 5 more items to get. I also added two 39 gallon trash bags to serve as rain covers. 39 gallon should be strong enough. I added a pair of leather work gloves, got them at Walmart for $3.00.

I've had this exact bag for 4 years now. I've used as a duty bag, an edc bag and haversack. I will freely admit I've given it _rough_ use, but I still use it everyday. The padding on the back is freaking excellent. The shoulder pad is good as well, I've loaded this bag with a stainless steel water bottle and a firearm with extra ammo, on top of what daily/daily stuff I carried in all the other compartments. It holds everything I want it to hold and has been my edc and get home bag since I bought it.

Mine wont take a charge anymore any suggestions on why?

These are trash, it doesn’t even last 24 hours with ice water. That is the biggest lie, it loses so much cold temperature through the cap

The bottom piece is meant to come off. It’s not attached at the time of purchased. My con is cleaning it because it’s so deep.

Overpriced, not worth the money

I really want one but im buying a carrier for SHTF so i dont want a carrier that wont do well in that scenario

That is a nice bag, much smaller than my 5.11 MOAB 10 but it’s very well thought out and very compact! Stay safe man!

I have 5 packs of these stored away, and will only be used in an absolute emergency where everything have failed and come to a halt in the world. Otherwise i will throw them out in about 20 years if i am still alive. Yes these NRG-5 are for the final survival food when all other options are gone. 🙂

Excellent thorough review... How has it held up all these years later ? Also... if you conceal carry a pistol with it, what seems to be the most logical place that works ? I'm rock'in a Taurus G3C and possibly up to full size... say a Glock 17, any thoughts ? I appreciate your time spent in responding... Again... thanks for the review n' God bless brother

This would be a good bag to carry while doing recon.

Couple of years ago, with those stupid laws,where you couldn't get to the streets after dark, on a cold winter night my car broke.So I had to spend the night, in a deserted house, that didn't have any windows, just an old couch. It was a week ago, that I had watched a video about a similar product. It was so cold that night,that I ordered the Swagman Roll, which is a more versatile, but similar gear like this blanket. Never left home without it anymore! I learned the hard way!

Is it BPA free?

I am not a fan of this setup. It is well sorted into kategories, but I do see to much "in case". For me it is so much weight/stuff for to little use. But EDC is different and you were talking about an entire bag. Glad, if it works for your family.

To increase its life span from the usual 5 year shelf life of similar bars to 20 years it needs to be dry, very dry. Moisture and fat are the enemy of long term storage. These bars are designed to be stored and forgotten about until needed. If you're 50 when you store them you can sleep easy untill your 70. Why store a product that only lasts 5 years when you can have one that lasts 20. Dryness and taste won't be an issue when you're starving.

Halo is a bad company to do business with.. I have a big Powr station 1000 and I used it 3 times during storms.. It quit working, The company does not service the power pack, does not offer exchanges, and does not know where to send it for repairs.. I am out $1000 for the 3 brief times we needed it during power outages..

Bought one for $10 on clearance at Walmart last week. Unfortunately, I didn't get back in time to get the other 3!

I just started my first batch this week, started on the 9th of October. The yeast are going at it like crazy at the moment. The only thing I did diff was use wine yeast and out of the 4 bottles I made I tried one with just dumping out 1 glass of juice to see if I could get a half a cup more wine and will see what the diff between the taste when it's time. Now the hardest part, waiting for the darn stuff to get done so I can see how it makes. Will update on how it went, the opening will be the 9th of November. Thanks for the vid fellow wine maker, lol. :)
