I was behind the goal in the Town end. I don't know who was most surprised when Foley scored that goal, The goalkeeper, the crowd or David Foley!. Fantastic day. The Stoke supporters were fantastic. They took their defeat in the best possible manner and were wishing us the best of luck in the next round.

One of the best Sundays of my life. l was standing behind d the goal in direct line for Effion's 2nd goal...l knew it was in the second d he hit it. Happy days

watch 30.55 for the next 20 seconds and marvel in the wonder that is GAZZA. was at this match and even though the opposition were hartlepool, Gazza was at his best. he had constant banter with the away fans and the goalie for the whole game. The watch from aout 35.00 as Gazza gets into it with their number 8.

I was at this game. Pools played some good stuff but could`nt stop the Gazza express show. He was the man them days. Shame the Pools team now could`nt play with the valour,passion and composure needed in footy or we wouldnt have been embarrasingly relegated to lge 2. Pools lost the home leg 2-1 with a belter from Dalton.Remember Gazza warming up on the touchline and around 20 kids ran with him doing push ups.
