The rain didn't stop me from fishing this morning. Caught a nice 19 and a half inch trout. A subscriber asked why i don't do a catch and cook, here is evidence why. But this is for you Money Mike!!!!!

I decided to drive to Port Isabel this morning. The day started nice, but quickly got super hot and no wind to cool off. I met Jerry, a subscriber. It's always good to meet fellow fisherman. Stay hydrated! And keep it simple!!!

It was a very slow day, no wind and very very humid. Water was dead calm. But i managed to catch a fish and meet a subscriber. All and all a decent day!

@BernardBenassi thanks for watching bud. But anywhere you go in Port Mansfield is a good spot. I don't know how many exploring trips I've done before i found good spots. It's half the fun. Google Earth helped me quite a bit.

Went today got skunked, no bait at the shops,managed to get some live croaker eventually. Hubby got two 14 in trouts. I got puro cats and lady fish. Better luck next time I guess😢
@Jozuv skunk is my middle name. I've had more non catching days than catching days. But being out there and expecting every cast will produce a monster, is what it's all about! Fish on!!!

No, bud, that's a catch and release only.
If you don't mind my asking, what is the float rig setup you are using? I see swivels top and bottom and beads... what is the rest?
@johnphilipp4336 thanks for watching! Popping cork, tie your line to top of popping cork (concaved) it will also have beads for additional noise. Then tie about 18 inches of leader line, with hook at end. Works to attract game fish. Cut leader for depth.
