I'm hoping to be able to get one of these anvil clouds on a timelapse! That would be a nice video :D

@@joharrison6014 Do you have a TL camera? I own a Brinno TLC 200 Pro that I paid $200 for and I get cloud time lapse all the time! I have a few that I captured during the summer monsoon season and it caught the anvil spreading out!

Nope, just passed a little to the north of Tremonton and went through "The Pass" - an area where there is a space between the mountains for a few miles. Me and my brother named it the pass because lots of storms would veer off to the north and we would be pissed n stuff (that we didnt get some of that)

I was a little daring back then XD wanted a good shot away from city distractions (cars, streetlights etc). A park bowery was a better place (No leaking water)...

That was incredible footage Jo! Loved those CG’s! Glad you were safe during that storm! We had a big thunderstorm event down here in Las Vegas on the night of August 27, 2007 due to the remnants of hurricane Dean getting caught up in our Monsoonal flow and I was working that night doing security on a construction site, at that time I had no vehicle so I was out in the open, and thunderstorms erupted to my SW and trained NE with additional cell development and luckily I found that the site water truck was unlocked so I grabbed my stuff and stayed in that cab the duration of the event. I had a lightning bolt strike behind me across the street. Sounded like a gun going off! Unfortunately, I didn’t have means then to record footage!

@@johngligo4049 Hurricane remnants caught in a monsoon flow :O I can imagine it would give that Las Vegas storm one heckuva boost :D and a train echo?! JOY :D

@@joharrison6014 It sure did! I guess the remnant energy must’ve enhanced the instability over us that night because after 11 or midnight, storms started firing all over the place! I remember the clouds increasing and the bases lowering big time and I got suspicious so I made a big plan to get into that water truck and next thing I knew, we were seeing bolts hitting in the city!

My mom would've given me a stern talking-to if she knew I was out in a dugout in a thunderstorm 😮 she just doesn't want me to be fried GOOP from a stray lightning bolt. She a nice mom, she cool 😊
