I'm glad it helped. Noted.
Question: #1: Answer C also grammatically correct, simple past tense. #5: As phrased, other answers would be correct. For example: If the meeting had already occurred, and some were questioning whether or not she actually attended the meeting, then answer B would affirm that yes, she had truly attended. Similarly, if he were referring to a meeting scheduled for a future time, and someone questioned whether or not she would attend, then he might respond with answer D, confirming that she will definitely be attending. #17: "orbits the sun" might be a better choice, as opposed to allowing for some random or irregular motion. #25: Your answer is of course correct, but your explanation could be misleading. The rule is that in a "neither/nor" construction, the the verb must agree with the CLOSER noun, which of course could be a plural noun. In other tests of yours, you stress this point.
I got 34 correct answers
Good job 👏👍

Question: #11: One can "lose oneself" in a novel, meaning to become engrossed or fascinated by the story, but "losing one's time" would not be the usual expression. #17: Generally, an employee has little authority to refuse to follow a company "rule." A failure to expect or anticipate a new rule, answer B, would seem more likely. #18: Answer D, meaning "without interuption," is also frequently used. #32: The customary expression in this context would be "fill out the form." #39: Aren't all trees stationary? #46: A explanation "for" her absence, meaning to give the reason for the absence. #47: Answer A means to identify a solution. Answer B means eliminate a source of contention or conflict. So in the sentence context, either answer.
I got 41/45.
Question: #1: In formal writing, answer A is correct. Answer B is incorrect. A search of the Oxford English Dictionary states: " 'Better than I' is grammatically correct and considered the preferred usage in formal writing. As 'I" functions as the subject pronoun in this context, meaning. YOU, as the SUBJECT of the comparison, are comparing yourself to someone else, "SHE" the OBJECT of the sentence. To make the grammatically correct version of the sentence "sound" less odd, it is often suggested to rephrase the sentence to read "She is better than I am at math." #6: Answer B is incorrect. Answer A is correct. The verb must agree with the subject, not with the prepositional phrase. The subject here is "she" which is singular, and thus requires singular verb -- "is" present tense. "People" is the object of prepositional phrase "of those people" and thus plays no role in determining verb-tense. See your correct answer to #12. #26: Nothing in the sentence context would disallow answer D also, simple past. #35: Answer C is of course incorrect. Answer A is correct. We are comparing only two brothers, so answer A. If comparing more than two, then answer C would be correct. Probably just editorial oversight. #38: Answer D also, scheduled events that occurred in the past.
I got 45/50.
👍👏 Thank you for participating!
49/50
Good job 👏👍
I got 35/40.

My score is 44 out of 48.

I got 65/70👍
Good job 👏
Question: #11: Not sure how one would "attend an invitation." Possible rephrase: "She declined the invitation to the party." #39: I believe that in this context, answer A would be equally valid. See question #42. #47: If he remembered to grab the keys before leaving the house, then answer A. If he remembered grabbing them after leaving the house, answer C. #48: If the call had already occurred, then answer A.
I got 31/35.
👏👍
I got 48/55.
I got 22/22.
There is a question you post on you tube. The sentence is that " He arrives tomorrow " I think it is a mistake. It should be as follow. He will arrive tomorrow. Or he is going to arrive tomorrow.
Thank you for rectifying.
33/35
👏👍
Question: #12: Answer C seems also likely. Generally, one would assume that. "good.grades" might be limited to a minority of the students. #14: Answer A seems logical also. #21: Answer D also, meaning a very small number -- fewer than "some." #22: Answer C also -- the opposite of "many." #25: Answer D also, meaning a very small number. #27: Answwr C is syntactically incorrect. Rather than imply that "you don't have few," say instead that "you have many, or some." Suggested rephrase would be: "I have many (or some) options to choose from." #29: "A few" means an amount or number greater than "few." As the sentence is phrased, either answer could be correct. #30: As the sentence is phrased, answers A, B, and D would all be logically possible and correct. #31: Again, answers A and B also grammatically correct and equally logical. #32: Answer A also logical. #33: Answer A also, meaning an amount greater than answer C. #34: Answer A also, meaning almost none.
Lot of??the correct May be a lot of....
I got 39/45.
I got 68/70.
Good job 👏👍
Many sentences are phrased in a manner that is vague as to whether we are dealing with a restrictive clause -- requiring "that" as the answer, or whether we're dealing with a non-restrictive clause -- requiring "which" as the answer. And in other cases the sentence would be more commonly spoken with the blank left open. The use of commas to clearly identify non-restrictive clauses would greatly useful. Some examples would be: Question: #1: In this context, blank left open would be more common. #9: Blank left open also commonly used. #11: The more common phrasing would be: "The house I grew up in is being sold." Blank left open. #14: Answer D is of course INCORRECT We use the pronoun "that" when referring to "things." We use the pronouns "who" or "whom" when referring to "people." So, answer C is correct. #18, 20, 22. 25 If restrictive clause, then blank open also correct. #24: If using answer C, then. delete "in," otherwise it appears redundant. Otherwise, simply read the sentence with the blank left open. #31: Blank open also correct. #34: Answer D is incorrect. See comments on Question 14. #36: Blank left open also correct. #37: If there is only one dog we could be referring to, then answer B. If more than one dog we could be referring to, then answer C. #38: See comments on #14. #39: Reads better with blank left open. #42: The use of commas would clearly establish B as correct. #44: Blank left open more frequently used. #45: If we're referring to only ONE teacher, then comma after "teacher" and "prize." Non-restrictive clause. As written, without the commas, the implication is that there is more than one teacher you could possibly be referring to, so the phrase "whose students won the prize" is necessary to specify which particular teacher you were referring to.
marvelous
🙏🙏
b
For me it was quite difficult🤔
It's all about practice Thank you for participating!
❤️
Question: #2: Answer D also grammatically correct, present perfect. #4: Answer D also, past perfect. #5, #7: The Oxford English Dictionary states "The correct phrase is 'no sooner than,' meaning that 'no sooner' is almost always followed by 'than' to indicate that one event happens immediately after another. 'no sooner when' is considered incorrect useage." #14: Answer D also correct, present perfect. #17, #20, #32, #36, #42: See comments for #5, #7. #22, #27: Answer D also, present perfect. #34: Answer D also, simple past.
Good.
Appreciated 👍
I got 33/40, thanks!
Great 👍
❤Thank you.
You're welcome.
Question: #3: Answer C also. For example: "What do your kids do when you're not at home?" "The children play in the garden." #10: Answer D also correct, simple past.
Question: #8: Answer D also correct, past perfect. #23: Answer B also correct, simple past. #34: Answer A also correct (pronounced "red"), simple past. Answer D would also seem correct, present continuous. #35: Answer B also, simple past. #48: Answer D also, past perfect. #66: Answers B and D also seem logical. #67: Answer B also, simple past. #70: Answer C also, simple past.
This was so easy and I got full marks (would have been disappointed with a lesser score)
