WE BUILT A CAMPERVAN SHELTER FOR THE TALBOT EXPRESS (VAN PORT)
One of the biggest hurdles during the restoration of the Talbot has been the fact the van has been outside. It’s often felt like two steps forward one step back, as the van was so open to the elements, water would get into areas and settle, causing or worsening rust.
With massive help from my Dad and best mate, we came up with a simple but effective structure / van port which will protect the van from the elements, allowing work on rainy days. It will also be great as a makeshift paint booth.
I hope you enjoy the timelapse of the build.

Hello mate, As far as I can remember there are the two nuts or screws to undo on the backside of the steering wheel to remove the horn cover, then just the central bolt. I don’t think there was anything else? Are you getting any movement at all? I can only think there might be a bit of corrosion that might be making it a little stiff to lift off.

This project is above and beyond what I expected, this thing will be better than new when you're done with it! Your brake lines look like the original steel lines, I highly recommend not reusing them and replacing them with copper nickel lines (not regular copper). These tend to corrode from the inside and can break apart even if they look pristine on the outside. Cheap (life) insurance and copper nickel is really nice and easy to work with.
