True. The gusts are very dangerous but the regional winds can be bad too, especially here in New Mexico. I just had a strong gust the other day driving down to Mexico. The difference was markedly better than the first time it happened to me. If you’re driving a semi you might have a better chance of one already being installed.

The Casual RV'er, if true that is bad to hear. It’s main job is tire blowout as I understand it. That alone is worth it if they work as advertised. Everything else is gravy on it. Back to the sudden moment, I would have to think it would at least help it some but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately she had no surviving children, hence no direct descendants. I have talked to some descendants of Ella's siblings but they didn't know much. I talked to the wife of another descendant who does their genealogy and she didn't want people to know about Ella so she was no help.

It all worked out in the end so i still have Geico.There was some reason we didn't go with USAA before we started RVing but for the life me I don't remember what that reason was.

Grumpy Oldman, I agree and plan on doing that in the near future. Currently we are sitting in for the winter in southern New Mexico but before we leave in the spring it will be done. Thanks!!

Probably no video. I'm doing 3 things at once, trying to beat the cold weather, and also have some other jobs pending. There are some good videos on the Safe-T-Plus installation. Seems pretty easy. Went to Harbor Freight an hour ago to get a large socket set. Probably use my pneumatic impact wrench to make things go a little easier.

@@dannyrusso8279 I'd have loved an impact wrench at the time. Do you have a way of lifting the rig to get under?

@@allaboutthejourney488 I'll use my homemade wood ramps I made using 2x8's. Only about 8" high, but it should give enough clearance.

Laurie Mrdjan, we like it. Are you looking at full time or just for short vacations? I would keep the length as short as possible if it’s for periodic use. That being said, you have to understand that these Ace models are entry-level RVs so the build material is not as nice as it could be. We don’t care though because we are also entry-level ourselves. No matter what you buy make sure to get it inspected before you buy. Lastly, keep in mind that these class A RVs are essential metal sails when going down the road so seriously look into the Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. It may save your life.

@@allaboutthejourney488 we are looking to looking to full time as well. Thank you for the advice on the setting stabilizer, the one we are looking at was giving some concerning steering wheel shake that dealer said they would fix before we sign. We plan to use someone from NRVAI (I think that's it, without pulling up the page) to inspect the rv before purchase.

@@lauriemrdjan Yeah, I wanted one of their inspectors too but there wasn't a single inspector in New Mexico. Fortunately I found a local guy that was well versed in RVs (he is mentioned in a couple of my early videos}. We've had relatively few problems so far. As far as the stabilizer, check videos on them on TH-cam. If your RV has the Ford F53 chassis, watch one of my later videos about the CHF (cheap handling fix) for them.

I've seen it done both ways in the videos, which initially was confusing.However, the default position from the factory is the way mine was before the change. Also, the fact that there were improvements verifies (to me) that it was the correct procedure on mine. If i am wrong then I am still leaving it as is because I don't want the rig handling the way it used to. Ultimately the solution is the Safe-t-plus, which i'll get when I have the cash saved up for it.

Yeah, I heard about that but this is a small job (in RV terms). The place we are going tomorrow is an independent. I am more frustrated with the incompetency in general of so many businesses nowadays, especially with the RV ones. It just offends my military mind.
