How do I do in addition to changing the status bar, also change the color of the icons (ex: cell phone battery icon)?....in your examples you change the color of the bar, but the icons are still white. I would like to know how to do this, as my prototype has this item in yellow color

Really helpful video...but i I'm facing a problem actually that toggle is visible but show/ hide function is working just opposite..like the toggle is crossed but the password is visible n vice versa...I have tried a lot but i could not find the solution So, can you please make a video on that..!

After setting up your variables etc, this would be how you would do it if you were using Theme.MaterialComponents.NoActionBar: if (isChecked) { AppCompatDelegate.setDefaultNightMode(AppCompatDelegate.MODE_NIGHT_NO); } else { AppCompatDelegate.setDefaultNightMode(AppCompatDelegate.MODE_NIGHT_YES); } For AppCompact theme as shown in the video you would use: if(isChecked)){ getDelegate().setLocalNightMode(AppCompatDelegate.MODE_NIGHT_YES); }else{ getDelegate().setLocalNightMode(AppCompatDelegate.MODE_NIGHT_NO); } I have been trying for ages to find this simple trick. Thanks again for the video. Hope this helps someone else too. At least the video got me going on the right path!!
