Crazy Chinese: Why Chinese are willing to pay $15,000 just for a car license plate?
มุมมอง 3474 ปีที่แล้ว
In China, the demand for a new vehicle license plate in big cities has become so high that it now costs nearly $15,000 - the same price for a brand new Nissan Versa. For example, Shanghai uses an auction system to allow bidding for a limited number of license plates. This allows the richest residents to purchase plates, letting the free market more-or-less dictate the price of the license plate...
North vs South | What are the differences between Northern Chinese and Southern Chinese?
มุมมอง 9K4 ปีที่แล้ว
It’s easy to think of China as a single culture, but “north” and “south” are recognized as highly distinct regions. China’s diverse geography, history, and ethnic culture have led to a lot of differences between Northern Chinese vs Southern Chinese (food, dialects, appearance, personality, habit, etc.), even within standard Mandarin. #NorthernChinese #SouthernChinese #NorthvsSouth #NorthChina #...
Why Chinese like eating chicken feet? [weird food]
มุมมอง 8K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Americans eat 100 pounds of chicken per person per year, but chicken feet are always overlooked. Unlike Americans, Chinese like to gnaw on bones and gristle, especially the chewy chicken feet. Why Chinese women don't use tampons?
มุมมอง 2.4K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Menstruation has long been a taboo subject in China. Only 2% of Chinese women use tampons. A product requiring vaginal insertion may have been too avant-garde for Chinese consumers. A complex mix of cultural (virginity, sex education, Chinese medicine) and commercial factors (period poverty) have kept tampons from widespread acceptance. #whychinese #tampon #menstruation #women #virginity Source...

    Regarding 3:41, the round tips on the Chinese chopsticks 筷子 represent Heaven whereas the square ends at the handle of the Chinese chopsticks represent the Earth. The round and the square shapes are also represented on the Cong 琮 which is a ritual object symbolizing Heaven & Earth.

      P.s. I stopped watching the show because I thought it was atrocious. None of the characters were relatable and were all just toxic, naive and/or ignorant. It's time for shows on television to feature healthy people in healthy relationships which thankfully, it is starting to happen.

    The fact it would even occur to someone to use a seated toilet in the same way as the squatting. First off- why- just why. Second- you have added 18 inches between the toilet and the floor with NO safety net... People will defend these things all day- but it is not really up for discussion. You SIT on the toilet and then randomly get into an argument where you are defending bidets.

    I am married to a Vietnamese and in my travelling in a number of countries in Asia I have been in situations (not Chinese) where the chopsticks are reversed to pick something from a shared dish and convey it to your personal bowl. The reason given for this was to avoid poking the end of the sticks which have been in your mouth into a shared dish, similar to not using the spoon you have been eating with to ladle desert or soup from the serving bowl. I'm not saying that one is right and one is wrong, just making an observation.

    The Indians are more forward thinking people because they eat with their hands. The food are wrapped in banana leaves and after finishing the meal, they simply dump whatever on the table and wash their hands. See, that save all the troubles washing dishes, forks and spoons. Clever, isn't it?

    Please add more meanings.. will be coo l筷子长七寸六分,代表人的七情六欲,七情指的是喜怒哀思悲恐忧。六欲指的是眼耳鼻舌身意,代表人的生理需求。 筷子成双成对,代表着阴阳相对,而且筷子一头圆一头方,代表着天圆地方,手在筷子中间表示天地三合一。 另外在使用筷子的时候,力气太大,打不开;力气太小,夹不住菜,这表示在天地间要懂分寸知礼节,知道天高地厚。 中国有5000年的传统文化,既有包容心又有进取心,老祖宗的这份传统智慧值得我们骄傲,作为中国人无论走到哪里都要记住这一份骄傲。

    People should realise that its pride in your ethnicity that is the root of tribalism and ultimately racism. For example, this is exactly what ethnocentrism is. You want people to think : " No, i'm just taking pride and I'me proud of my culture and heritage" Even tho you contributed nothing to it. But what is actually happening is that you're a race supremacist. This video seems simple and innocent and isn't really hurting anyone. but that's where it starts. things escalate very easily from asian pride => AZN PRYDE MUTHERFUKKAZ! Be honest, Ge 100% honest, as a chinese person. you think chinese people are better, smarter, chinese food is the best, Chinese language and art is better. You see where i'm getting at? The same goes for everyone else. How easily we forget that Pride is a sin.

    It's not only in public restrooms that most people use squat toilets. When you say most homes use seated toilets, that is completely untrue! Most people, by far, still have squat toilets at home. Many public restrooms are much better than they used to be. After SARS in 2003, many toilets were made cleaner. Also, hemorrhoids have nothing to do with how long you sit on a toilet!

    • @getsome.6675
      @getsome.6675 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right lol for those who don't know, they're from forcing poop that isn't ready cause ppl don't have time to relax to poop or patience.. our seated toilets are fine if you use them correctly, never thought I'd say that. It's designed to put you lower in the back than the front, so butt back, legs higher.. like a squat but more sturdy and safe, it's got our back🤣 we can't all do crab squats to pee n poo lol gosh 😂 *old folk in homes, ppl with broken legs, bad hips We aren't all tiny lil thangs.. In us, our thin is nothing to china. They're (not being offensive) shorter, smaller like our middle schoolers or 10yr olds, or younger.. smaller 😬 Built different lol - not cause of fast food, just actually bigger, height, mass. We don't eat a lot of rice but we sure love protein lol idk where you're from, sorry if I'm offensive at all

    • @lg20a1
      @lg20a1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hemorrhoids have to do with how much you strain and it's more common to strain more when you're sitting down, when you squat all the way down you don't strain much because it's the natural position to be in and you get done faster. Also if you don't want to get hemorrhoids eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and high fiber food like oatmeal, usually people who get hemorrhoids is because of a lack of fiber in their diets.
