I have not finished this message yet. I appreciate the preacher's sincerity, but he doesn't seem to understand what biblical election is. I don't know of any passage that says that unbelievers were ever chosen by God to be saved. The only NT people ever chosen by Him were already believers (granted that apostles were chosen by Jesus.....but for what purpose?). Ephesians here is emphasizing the blessings of those who are "in Him". The only ones being chosen in this passage are those who ARE in him - that would leave out everybody who didn't believe before the foundation of the world. Think about it.

This was one of my favorites when I was an Old Baptist. I liked “grace tis a charming sound” and “oh for a breeze of heavenly love to waft my soul away…”
