No most of the wiring is copper. Or tin coated copper. I haven't seen aluminum

If your yard will pay more for 100% clean brass. Then separate. If not put it all together and take the mixed brass price. Little less work and same pay. If you want to separate make sure to yellow brass and red brass n their own bins. Red brass clean pays 25 cents more than yellow about. Hope this helps ya

@The_milittary_Scraphunter i quickly strip them down. I have a video from some time ago breaking one down so you can see what's inside. The frame is metal on most so I send that with some of the plastic still attached to the scrap yard. Some wires get left behind but they a hardly worth pennies their so thin. I smash the motors out and the boards and move on

@MrsBuddevil yes. I cut the steel off as in the video. I stack up the centers and sell as clean copper/aluminum rads. You can go a step further and cut each pipe out of the aluminum fins. You will then have number 2 copper. I get these so fast that for me to take the time to do it is not worth it. Thanks for watching anything I can help with let me know. You can message me on IG also

Just asking because i get a ton of older tvs and computers/ printers. Wanting to start trying to do something with them other than paying out the ass to have them recycled. If I can break them down myself and still get rid of it great

Yes they buy them separately. Sealed compressor. Has copper inside so they buy them. You can also go another step and cut them open, pull out the copper for more money.

I'm not sure. I don't buy these. These are from contracted pickups I have.

Years of being in the business. Lots of estates I clean out. It just piles up fast. As fast as I empty a section I fill it even more.

Yes it will be fine to cut. Stand it up on one end. So the sludge goes to that end. Cut it and drag it out. Possibly have to cut it in 3 sections if the door is 28 inches. Gonna need some speedy dry to soak up the bottom of the tank. Some good garbage bags too. It will smoke a bit when you cut it nothing to worry about that's just the residue of oil burning off. ​@@mikehasit73Ty so much for ur response/advice !!! Unfortuately I can not stand the tank up upright bc of the low ceiling in the section of the basement it is in. I will have to have the tank cut lenghtwise & then into smaller sections to get it through multiple doors to get it out of the basement & house. After the top half of the tank is cut lenghtwise, I will scrape it out & dry it with the product u mentioned (thanks for the info) so that the bottom half can be cut into smaller sections. My birthday is tomorrow...getting rid of this tank will be the best gift ! I've been tired of looking at that rusty old thing far too long (since 2003) !!! I pray that all goes well & I can finally be rid of it !

Yes, number 2. Anything at all that is not 100% copper, such as the rubber seal, makes it number 2. Oil, paint, tape, etc makes number 2. Thanks for watching
