My first in-person game I was Imp. The following game, I was again the Imp. By this point I had a bit of an online reputation as being a good liar and always evil, so had people saying they'd kill me day one. I found out I had a Scarlet Woman in play, so nominated myself immediately on day one. Did the same on day two. After they trusted an Imp wouldn't do that, they left me alone until Aggie had to bounce a Mayor kill onto the Ravenkeeper just to give the good team any chance of winning. We still won even though the Ravenkeeper chose me; the Scarlet Woman drove it home!
17:39 Stream starts (Chris player perspective)
I love Mara Joy's etymology/linguistic facts
There seems to be some cosmic force making it so Chris has to be evil on Noobs streams whenever possible
Mikey's face in game 3. 😮
Scarlet woman starting next to empath is rough...
I think this makes the perfect case that introducing new players is easiest when ALL players are new rather than a mix. Otherwise the first play is always more of a “test game” rather than a true full real game.
amazing game! evil just rolling away with it, but just a slight stumble here and there keeping a good win still a knife-edge possibility right to the end. kept me on the edge of my seat
this one was a little hard to watch. too often it felt that Veteran players were talking out of turn, answering questions you intended to answer, or directing players that did not ask for directions. if this type of group plays again, it might be worth considering the Fabled Buddhist, with maybe a few alterations for a streamed app game, like a changed timer, or moving the silenced period to perhaps after the gong sounds, but whatever it may be, things as they played out did feel extremely off
I think a new player game with 13 players is a bit cumbersome for the newbies to track, well mainly on the good side. I think they did spectacularly well, and I do agree that some of the veterans were cross talking a lot and not encouraging the new players to share their relevant info to build a world together in town I also think Rob played as 4th evil with him pushing hard on Ghastly and protecting Patrick, and then sowing chaos which didn't help good haha. Patrick claimed Saint, slipped and said it was ok for himself to die and that the game would go on, and did a good job recovering from that -- even bamboozling Rob lol.
Can I put it out there, if producing content for viewership is a goal...night cards are not good viewing. They make the game a bit faster, but at the cost of entertainment for the viewership side.
I hear that! I'm finding the balance between fun for the players and fun for the viewer.
@@NoobsontheGooftower If I can suggest then, if you use the cards, commentate on the choices. Sometimes it's not clear what happened if I am on a smaller screen.
It's a testament to how good a storyteller Chris is that he can whip through the cards and run a really efficient game for the players, I just wish my noob brain could keep up!
His new nickname should be Joe Dashii
2:58:15 "Are decimal numbers rational?" Not necessarily. Only if their decimal representation terminates (like 5.6) or repeats (like 0.33333...). The number pi has a decimal representation that neither terminates nor repeats, so it is called an irrational number. That shouldn't matter as far as whether or not it's a number between 1 and 10. Pi is still between 1 and 10 even though it is an irrational number. And you can probably guess which townsfolk I am.

Hey Chris, great content. But I think it would really benefit from you reading out the cards during the night. Makes the game much, much easier to follow with like 80% attention while doing chores and such. Keep it up! Cheers.
I was just watching those make some noise episodes yesterday (jiavani)
Evil had so many chances to guarantee a win by outing and collaborating lol
I have a small suggestion which you are of course free to ignore: when using the cards at night, if you verbalized what you are asking and what the players responses are, I think it would a bit be easier to follow. Sometimes you click through it pretty quickly. Thanks for streaming!
At 2:28:00 Shouldn't Holly have Butler voted with Gootz right before the end? She puts her hand up and then back down again. Would have taken the votes to a 3-3 tie and Joseph would have been saved, at least for that day. I know things weren't looking good for them though
the Butler is never forced to vote, they can only be forced not to vote. They MAY vote if their Master is voting
54:32 Patters is a mad man
*SPOILERS FOR VOD* - - - I really enjoyed that first game. I’ve not watched Chris’ stream before. I usually only get time for Ben’s TPI and Patters but where they’ve been away this week, I haven’t watched any BOTC, so I came over here and really glad that I not only got to see my first Al win, but it was a travelling Al win 😂😂 great game, very well solved. Thanks Chris and the team 🤙🏼
Omg I love Mary Lou
Aha, I see you are trying to keep some of these streams a secret by not putting them on the playlist! Nice try but I found 'em anyway! (The playlist is missing this and also the next two streams chronologically. No big deal just thought you might like to know).
Just found you guys. Good stuff. 🙂
Thief and Bureaucrat choosing the same player for a lovely -3 votes must be the dream. :)
While it's fine not to include the word "correctly" in the damsel's ability, I feel like it should be added in the Al saahir's ability. It's just semantics, sure, but it bothers me.
it's inferred.
@@Kvalln yes, semantics.
Chris: What? What's going on ? I'm already so confused... Is there a super strategy that I dont know about? Rob: Rosie forgot.
what is this pronuncistion of a "wreck kloos'?
As opposed to what? Re-clue-seh? Re-clussy? Normally I'd remind you of the British-American accent divide, but I really am puzzled here.
I'm surprised you don't limit the nighttime chat to only game-unrelated stuff. It seems like it's only a matter of time that a game accidentally gets messed up by playing it all through the night when everyone should be asleep 🤣
I never limit nighttime chat except for narrating the actions of that specific night. I try to stick to the principle that Clocktower is a talking game and you can say whatever you want whenever you want
Barry's "for the benefit of chat" catch ups are much appreciated ♥
Spoilers: That first game was extremely entertaining! Well played by the evil team with an assist from Rob 😆❤ Fun homebrew for the second game. Very funny to see the game played so opposite from usual (good shout from Barry saying Chris had invented Werewolf lol)
4:02:45 fun out of context quote from Bennett
I'm glad Myke said it -- Barry totally looks like Tom Cardy!
Mikey and Barry are relationship goals 🍭 (based solely on what I've seen on these VODs lol) Spoilers: Team Joe!!!!! The script does seem hard for evil team, so I'm glad he was able to pull through in that last game.
Spoilers: Well played by Rob in the first game! Played on poor Mikey's emotions lol
Dropout x NRB crossover, wuuuut?
Merideth's "I will not be double claimed" on covid was way too funny lmao 2:23:00
Barry's hoodie lining up with the skull was so cute lol
barry is 39?!? fountain of youth over here
love jon gracey :) he's my fave on No Rolls Barred. (other than Dom, of course)
love mara joy's gameplay, but there are too many interruptions - I want to hear some of the other folks chat and finish their sentences sometimes!
Really entertaining stream, I've been loving watching y'all play! Spoiler . . . . I think Barry could've gotten out of game 2 by suggesting Mikey was the No Dashi and Mara Joy being his Marionette. That would make Kolsen poisoned which clears Mikey's only alibi, and Mara's ping was the main evidence against him too. (I definitely wouldn't have thought of this if I was in Barry's position though, and there's no guarantee that Rob would've gone with it lol.)
I don't understand why Jon slow rolls so much when he wins games. I know he is not trying to taunt or anything, but it could annoy other people he plays with.
Fun ideas for both game setups! I dunno if this exists as a Bootlegger or not, but the players talking about off script Atheist and such got me thinking about a game mode where everyone gets on-script roles as usual, but each night one person gets passed the "Super Philosopher", which allows them to pick any off script role (or on script, if you want less chaos) and gain that ability + they choose another player who will get the Philo the next night. You could call it Pass the Plato.
Sam: 1 in 25 % chance and 1 in 33% chance. XD I get it. But it doesn't seem right.
SPOILERSSSS i have seen so many blood on the clocktower games but somehow this is the first time i've ever seen an evil cult win i am THRILLED
On that last game, Mara exclaiming how it was going to be a quick game 😂 she didnt know how right she was!
I love the idea of "A Simple Game, I'm Tired". XD
jams explaining what happened at 1:49:00 ish was amazing. Wow.
*To those with misophonia, viewer discretion is advised*
It's always good to see Jon, the rightful Lord of the Board.
