In the beginning, they had a lot of hate in SK cause of the controversy involving Avex’s(parent company of XGALX) former CEO. Also the fact that they are a Japanese girl group promoting in SK. Xenophobic knets tried really hard to make sure they failed. But XG showed them.

Ok so the MV is inspired ( almost exact copy ) by the movie Midsommar wich is a psychological horror movie. Basically they are preparing and performing a human sacrifice ritual ( dude that fell from the sky ) Red Velvet and their love of killing people 😅❤

I have Cosmic and Nightmare on my ever-changing "50 Asian Girl Groups" playlist. I find myself humming and singing most of these songs, most of the time. The funny thing is that I had been humming Cosmic as I was opening TH-cam, and your reaction was right there in my feed. I agree with your assessment of this one; it is PERFECTION.

27:15 I thought I'd mention that Siyeon IS the main vocalist, but she wasn't the member singing the high notes in the second chorus of Fireflies. The actual distribution was Handong on the low notes, Jiu on the middle harmony, and Yoohyeon comes in with the high notes. Anyway, loved your video~ this is one of my fave releases from them❤

For a while i thought you might go there but I'm so glad you're happy to get this sound and not focused on who is giving us this sound. As far as I'm concerned, if anybody is mad about this then they need to expect more out of our artists. These girls are phenomenal. I can't wait for you to get into the Tapes and Vox's. They are side projects that they do for the members. The Tapes are rap line features. The Vox are for the vocalists. Also, check out Winter Without You. If you really want r&b vibes, this song is it. If you have time, watch how they started Xtra Xtra. They trained for 5 years as little girls and went through so much to get there. Lots to sweat and tears 😭😢💧

I Don't know if people have told you that they are currently having a world tour, they just ended the Asia leg of the tour and sold out each show in seconds! They are going to begin their America side of the world tour in October and sold out many shows already!! this group is just amazing. I was all into american male rappers and these girls blew my music world with woke up. i love how they talk their talk but always back it up. especially to have a female group like this is epic. the moment they got more exposure, it will be insane. to me already one of the greatest groups of all time. Music wise it feels like the wutang clan and tlc having a baby and mariah carey or whitney houston are the aunts who taught them some tricks too. you should check out the xg tapes too. It highlights the 4 main rappers and they pay a lot of hommage to rap culture.

I think the only thing I need to see from them, is growth on the autonomy side as they age and evolving to something more than we the best/gonna crush you music all the time. And I’m pretty sure they will eventually become massive. They also need better marketing plan both in Asia and out. They gotta find some way to embrace K-pop culture more in at least the short term. Because the x pop thing really prevents them from growth in community.
