    I think I might watch more of your stuff. I would love to hear you talk about more of the exercises you talk about. I'm working on my motivation, personally, to get things done... It's hard and I'm just trying to figure it out. Right now my therapist and I are working on ways to kind of trick my brain into doing things I'm supposed to, so I'm always looking for good advice. Would love to see what else you have to say. Obviously I will be back to see more of your content!!! :D --Vyvyan Wormwood, the Wormwood Oracle

    Classic books emphasise the beauty of all the range of human emotions, including the unease of having to deal with discomfort. I find that this is harder to keep in mind in today's culture of individual happiness and doomscrolling. Thanks for the reminder. Excellent video

    Hello! I'm feeling pulled by my heart to more creative efforts, I've been driven by my head for my entire adult life, and at 58 I've realized that it's time for a change. All I'm sensing from within is the pull, however - hoping that changes soon! Thanks for a great video, looking forward to more!

    Thanks for the video! it is a really drastic change, from structured corporate lifestyle, to creative one. After I drained myself way more than I needed, I moved to a different country to a village with only a few people, but in the middle of a big valley, surrounded by forests and mountains. It was I should say, a rollercoaster of emotions, when there were no distractions like you mentioned, as simple as city noises and constant need to be somewhere. Many of us are so numb, because it is constantly there, but after a few months only with sounds of nature (or nothing at all! as it gets in the mountains at night in winter), it's like my ears were finally safe enough to start hearing, nose is not smelling fumes from the cars.. I wanted to ask, how do you deal with this feeling of still needing to produce something in those 8 hours like in a corporate? I find it very difficult to get out of this - wake up, do the work, go to sleep.. whole corporate hustle pattern. It's not creativity, but more of the same, just in a different location..

    • @rolymiller
      @rolymiller 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi, thanks for watching and the comment. As for your question, I'm not sure I've totally figured that out either, so I would not call myself an expert. So here are two thoughts, just as a personal observation. 1. I think time away from any culture, while immersing ourselves in a new environment will teach you something new and you will figure out what is good for your soul. 2. Maybe we are innately driven to create, produce or imagine something & bring it to fruition, it's a function of the curious minds that we can been blessed with & when we are really in flow we will work way more than 8 hours on that which ignites our passions with out question.

      But from the artistic point of view, it is a compelling philosophy about how many things will die on hard drives and never get to see the light of day. We have so much doubt in ourselves, but that can end up depriving the world of the beauty we bring to it.

    • @rolymiller

      That's a great analogy & as a runner I totally get it. I have to remind myself that since I can get up early to run, even in the dark & rain then I can transfer that mindset into other areas & make progress.
