Roots Community
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 ก.พ. 2020
Roots opened in early 2018 as a community space, dedicated to providing a warm environment, facilitating great conversations, being accessible in space and in faith, and giving each member of our community a home-away-from-home. Our goal is to provide opportunities and experiences to supplement the Islamic institutions in the Dallas Fort-Worth area. Our efforts are under the guidance and mentorship of Qalam.
We Aspire To Facilitate Spiritual And Social Spaces That Are Welcoming, Meaningful, And Nurturing, In The Spirit Of The Prophetic Community.
The Prophetic practice of welcoming and embracing community is at the core of a safe space. We aspire to be a community that grows towards the ideals of our faith and spirituality together, while continuing to appreciate each of our experiences. Our philosophy is built upon the belief that spirituality prospers in the environment of social semi-sacred space and in the reflective state of individual worship.

My appeal to every Muslim, my brother or sister, the owner of the channel, I know that it is not my right to comment on your channel, but God is my witness that our circumstances are harsh and forced me to do this. Please forgive me. My brother, there is still a brotherhood of faith. I asked you for a bag of flour. My brother, we women cannot go out among men. There is still a woman with you. My brother, God has honored you. You are men. We are women. We cannot go out or work like you. My brother, where is the brotherhood of faith in your hearts? We are women. There is no brotherhood, no mercy, no compassion, no humanity. And give good tidings to the patient. It is the greatest hope while waiting for what we want. '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' How many times I called and talked and tried hard, but no one responded. Oh man, we are with you. My mother ordered us food from the restaurant. More and today. My mother left. Crying. She said, Why are you crying, my mother? She said, My daughter, I ask. God, that I may be honored by death. She said, Why, my mother. She cursed us. She said, "My daughter, today the restaurant owner insulted me. I said, 'Why?' I said, 'How can I be better than people?' I ask God, my daughter. May God gather me. With death alone, a gathering that is better than this humiliation and this humiliation. It is true. I am saying this. It diminishes my value and respect. But, man. I swear to God that I did not say this. I kiss your boots. I am so hungry that my conscience no longer allows me to let you go and ask us for food. I kiss your boots, man, and I ask you by God Almighty and in the Book of God, man, I kiss your boots, man. He has caused us harm, my brother, so that we can buy a kilo of flour and pay the rent. My brother, have mercy on us. He who is in the show will have mercy on you, He who is in the sky. My brother, this is my WhatsApp number: 00967711500090. Whoever can help us, message me on WhatsApp. We will send him the full name. He will transfer us as much as he can. May Allah reward you. Allah knows that my family and I, our house rent is 15 thousand Yemeni riyals per month, and now we owe 45 thousand for 3 months. The owner of the house is one of those people who do not have mercy. By Allah, my brother, he comes every day and humiliates us and talks about us and wants to throw us out of the house and into the street because we were unable to pay him the rent. We will have until the end of the week, and if we pay him, he will swear by Allah that he will throw us out into the street without mercy. See my situation for yourselves. I ask you by Allah, the Living, the Eternal, to help me. By Allah, the Almighty, even at night we cannot sleep from fear. We do not have mattresses or blankets to warm ourselves from the cold. Everything is flooded from the rain, and we have no one but Allah and then you. My brothers, I kiss your boots, don’t turn me away empty-handed. Help us with whatever you can. Is it acceptable to you that we live in this place? We are girls and we have no one. Our father died in a car accident. Consider us your daughters and your honor, and help me with whatever you can. May God reward you with good =>[[}>] ^][/&;;&;&&;•̥·-•.,¸-•.,¸°·̮ •̥·°,.•¯,.•¯,;;;.≪∫⌈,.≪∫⌈,.≪∫⌈,.≪∫⌈,.≪∫⌈,.------------------------------،-------،---------،----;&;&&;🎉

I request Roots to start a series of lectures for preteens and teens, there is not much for this age group on any forum
I actually completely agree. There should be something for teens.

He artwork is hard work. Thank you for sharing these beautiful reminders and advice.
The world is all about freeing the nafs & letting it do what it wants, but as Muslims we’re all about freeing ourselves from the nafs so that it doesn’t control us
Brief notes 🌱 - anger is a serious pathway to damage and destruction and it will hinder your relationship with Allah Anger & controlling your desires - the path to success for everyone is determined in their ability to say NO to themselves - the sin starts of as in idea - then it becomes an intention - strategy on how to go about than sin - then it’s the planning - The real place to stop the sin is when it first starts, the beginning stages of it not later on cause it will be harder then and you might fail - REGRET is the most mentioned emotion people will have on the day of judgement - Not every desire is bad - you have to measure which desire are good? The ones that will affect your spirituality etc? - you can have desires that either lead you away from Allah or towards Allah ,there are desires that are good and can help strengthen your relationship with Allah - Anyone who’s not afraid of being a hypocrite is a hypocrite - people with piety Never think they’re good - never feel like your faith is sign, sealed and delivered - it’s good to be on your toes, not to the point where you’re sad and hopeless all the time but we all need to have moments where we’re unsure if our good deeds were accepted - the nafs always has the ability to overtake you that’s why its important to always ask Allah for help, to ask Him for His mercy The careless sin - that happens because you didn’t cover your bases - this is whimsical desires The solution to both of these is to have Taqwa of Allah - be mindful of Allah - your greatest enemy is not out there but is within ourselves - What makes some people fail or succeed spiritually? It’s what in the heart that matters - if this place is good then everything will be ok but if it’s corrupt then everything will be corrupt - You cant fix the behaviour that comes from a rotten heart - There needs to come a point in your life where you say enough if enough and you need to stop the sin and in that moment it’s the beginning of a journey towards repentance and changing and becoming better - It’s not the place that makes you pious but rather your heart - because as holy as Makkah and Madina are, there are still people who lived and live there who committed grave crimes - the different is the condition of the heart - the prayers where you force your self to pray might be the most sincere prayer because you got up and prayed when it was really difficult and you didn’t want to - we don’t worship feelings we worship Allah - don’t obey your nafs, defeat your nafs before it defeats you 1. In every matter when you don’t know what the right way is then you have to go back to the Quran, sunnah and the great scholars from before - the sahaba - the core of our beliefs are timeless 2. If it’s still not clear then go to the person you trust, the person that understands you and someone who has good manners and is righteous - they have to be trained, it can’t be a random a person Steps to Taqwa: 1. Act in accordance to what you know - we know better - Allah only holds you accountable for the things that you knew but didn’t do - the pious person acts accordingly - they stay away from that which is wrong - when they make mistakes they turn back to Allah - Islam can never remain a theory, you need to include the practical aspects too 2. After you seek forgiveness -you need to change - you need to remember that Allah is close, proximity changes behaviour - Allah is everywhere all the time - if you remember that Allah is always watching your behaviour will never ever dip - remember that Allahs proximity is always close 3. Taqwa remember that when you prefer Allah, Allah will choose you and you’ll get better - you feel the pleasure of having known Him or having chosen Him
Brief Notes 🌱 “ ohh Allah show me the nature of things as they are, don’t let my own bias, subjective reading, my desires skew my ability to identify the truth - allow me to see the truth and live it and help me see false as falsehood and help me stay away from it” - the outward behaviours that we display are a reflection of what’s in our hearts - the thoughts we have - the things we say - the things we watch etc - We need to make sure who we are on the inside is who we are on the outside - The person who makes it to Jannah is the one who has the smallest gap between who they are on the inside and who they present themselves to be on the outside “Indeed, outward good manners are signs of inward morals, and the movement of the limbs are the fruits of inward thoughts, and deeds are the results of moral behaviour, just as good manners are a perspiration of knowledge, and actions are wellsprings from the secrets of the hearts where they are cultivated…” - knowledge is one thing, living on that knowledge is something else - Allah describes in the Quran a person who has knowledge but doesn’t use it like a donkey that carries books - The people who are able to behave this way have a light in their hearts - they shine - it gives them the ability distinguish between that which is right and wrong “The person whose heart and limbs do not submit [to Allah’s will], and whose breast is not a niche of Divine lights, the beauty of Prophetic manners will not show on him.” - right and wrong is very clear in the deen - If the heart is good then that heart will drive that person towards doing good - if you want to be the person that has all these incredible qualities, where people admire you for your kindness etc - these things don’t come from nowhere but it comes from a heart that is clean - Everything that we watch, listen to etc goes back to the heart and it affects the heart and it leaves its traces - Sometimes it’s the heart that leads and sometimes it’s the limbs that lead
I love your videos. Thank you!
