Another Test Zoom H4
Wasn't bad. I think I left a zip open on the backpack. I'll try under the seat next time & see how that sounds. Cheers

Just a nice easy Sunday ride with the better half down to the golden arches for breakfast. Still doing testing with the H4 to find the best settings. Cheers
H4 Essential Test (Round 2)
มุมมอง 1584 หลายเดือนก่อน
Did a test with the H4 Essential. First part has no windshield over the microphones, put in the bottom of my backpack. Second part is with the windshield on. I think it sounded better without it. Next will try under the seat to get a good comparison. Cheers

Raw Sound IXIL RC Exhaust
มุมมอง 494 หลายเดือนก่อน
Recorded with my DJI mics in the right pocket of my riding pants. These mics are brilliant. Also added some GPS overlay of the ride. Bought myself a Zoom H4N pro recorder, can't wait to see what sound this produces when I get it from Amazon. Enjoy the ride. Cheers

Got the IXIL RC exhaust on the bike. Did a sound comparison between the two. Clear winner in my book, hope you enjoy. Cheers

Had a ride on the 890 Duke before the rain came. Tell hou how to get a discount on a helmet (maybe).
Good Friday (Exhaust sound)
มุมมอง 726 หลายเดือนก่อน
Tried to get first video capturing the exhaust sound of the Akrapovic. Had the mic in a fanny pack behind my back to try & reduce wind noise. Had to be careful on the roads as a lot of police out over the Easter break. Will have another crack going down the highway see if we can get some better sound.

    Really appreciate you posting this. I'm going to try this route as well. Wired lav mic in the helmet run down to the H4e which will capture exhaust on the xy mics. Then I may even pipe it all back into my Ace Pro's external mic input via the H4e headphone monitor jack to simplify the editing process. That way all the audio and video will be pre-synced and ready to be cut. Thanks!

      No worries. It does take a bit of experimenting to find the sweet spot for recording. I'm trying the zoom under the seat this week see how it goes. Good luck with yours. Cheers

    Hi,how does it handle on the highway ? Have you tried to go on off road trails do you think it is possible ? I wuant to save money for one bcs this is my dream future trike 😁 I know that each country has their specific speed limit but have you tried to see how fast it can go with no mods all original like it was the first time you bought it ? I am planning to buy the 600cc because i dont see the 900c fit for me since i never rode a motorcycle and it would be kinda excessive to jump for a bike with tons of power,i would crash the first day lmao,its better to start with a lower cc model !

      Hi Owen, sorry I haven't replied sooner I've come from holidays. I find the ryker pretty comfortable. My wife had a neck fusion, she takes all typres of meds herself & has no problem with the bike. Very easy to steer & control. Cheers

    Do you think there is enough power in the 600 for two people? Thanks for video

    • @MidLifeBiker1970
      @MidLifeBiker1970 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it would. The top speed of her 600 is around 140kmh. If you were looking at this type of bike for 2 I would probably look at the 900 just for a bit more power. Cheers

      Hi mate, absolutely. Has been a great bike to start on. Easy to ride & for a single cylinder engine is great. For an entry level bike the the features you get (TFT dash) etc are pretty good.

    Was wondering why you went with the 600, but the license thing in Australia makes sense now. I got 900 Ryker Sport. Love this thing, so much fun. I got a lot of videos about rykers and spyders on my channel. also, there is nothing under the seat, everything is under the front hood mostly.

    • @MidLifeBiker1970
      @MidLifeBiker1970 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that's correct. One of the downsides of licensing in Australia. Has to be under 660ml for at least 2 years which is painful. Forgot to show there is a storage compartment in front of the windshield. You're right, a lot of fun to ride. Cheers

      Hi, got them AMX Store at Nerang. They are RJays Air Tech, really comfortable glove. I wear these most of the time, have good knuckle & palm protection. Not waterproof but I have a 2nd pair which are if I need to use them. Cheers

    I've benn riding two wheeled motorcycles since 1964 and from 2002 to 2022 we logged in over 300,000 miles on two wheelers. But my wife's health took a turn to the worst after battling cancer eight times, She's had 12 surgeries in ten years, maxed out on chemo, radiation and cyber knife treatments, She is currently on immunotherapy and will be every 28 days for the rest of her life. When the cancer in her brain caused her to have seizures we went to three wheels. Our thought was if she had a seizure on a two wheeler it might cause an accident injuring both of us and possibly others. On a three wheeler I think I will be able to pull over and tend to her needs. All this being said, We bought a Ryker 600 last Christmas for our son who suffered a stroke at age 39 which crippked his left side. He can no longer operate a hand clutch or a foor shfter so we thought the Ryjer is the perfect machine for him. I rode the Ryker home 100 miles at night, in the rain, and 52 degrees (F) and had a blast. I thought I would miss shifting, but I was having too much fun to miss shifting. I have ridden a Gold Wing trike, Can Am Spyders and I own a Harley Davidson Trike Glide, but I can honestly say the Ryker handles far better than any other three wheeler I've ridden. I am 70 years old and I am thinking when I trade next time it will be for a Ryker and the 600 had plenty of get up and go for me, no need to go to the 900. Thank you for this viceo and I hope you and your wife have many years of enjoyment with your Rykers. Ride safely and enjoy every journey..

      Thank you so much for the kind words. Great to see you are still on the trike after all those years of riding. My wife is loving hers & looking forward to some longer trips. I can agree they are a fun machine, I'll have another video with a ride on it up soon. All the best to you & your family. Cheers
