Hey everyone! My name is Dan and I have been a rail enthusiast since I was a very young child. I try to upload every week, but sometimes this may not be possible.
Railtours & Freight at Preston & Lancaster stations | 10th August 2024
A very action-packed day in the north west for LSL's North West Wanderer railtour, which featured 45118 "The Royal Artilleryman", 50050 "Fearless", 40013 "Andania", 37409 "Loch Awe", 37521, 20132 & 20118 "Saltburn-by-the-Sea" all hauling the train throughout the day. Unfortunately I couldn't see all the legs as it was running until late and I had to get home. The Northern belle with 34067 "Tangmere" also briefly features, along with some other miscellaneous freight workings.
Apologies this has taken a while to be published, I'm currently recovering from an operation at the hospital so all my time has been taken up with that. I hope you enjoy the video and feel free to comment down below!

That was quite the diesel gala, the first since 2016 at the NYMR. Was there as well worked from Pickering then northwards towards Grosmont. Superb footage, full enjoyable to watch :-)

Hi Dan. How did you get on in Switzerland, price wise I'm thinking about, food, hotel etc. I've heard it's a touch on the pricey side.
I didn't stay in Switzerland so I can't comment on hotel prices (I stayed in Strasbourg when I filmed in Basel because it was cheap and a good excuse to get loco hauled trains in for haulage on TER200), food was pretty pricey whilst I was there though but that was mostly because I didn't have any francs on me and had to use euros and in some shops things cost more because of it

Cheers, for passenger trains in Belgium specifically I use Haltelink Tracker which gives live allocations of locos and carriages, but with freight it's very much a turn up and wait job. I was with some Dutch friends who get gen on interesting moves as well; we went for the Class 21s and weren't expecting much freight hence why we weren't really on the right platform for them.

Good to see another pair of those new Stadler units being delievered. How frequent is the tunneo section flow from Hartlepool going to run please? Would like to go and see that. Like the shots of Scots Guardsman in the dark too. :)
It's planned to run tomorrow and Wednesday, not at all between Christmas and New Year and then 3 times a week until April then 6 times a week. Should be Monday/Wednesday/Friday when 3 times a week then Sunday to Friday from April
