That’s an excellent review and build. As for weathering I would practice on the base first. Paint it a darker brown. Once that is dry use lighter shades of sand and beige using the dry brush technique to pick up the highlights. It will give a nice effect. I really enjoyed seeing the old Matchbox kit being built. You are right Revell ought to let buyers know the kits age. Airfix call them vintage Classics

My final verdict: After doing more research, I found that this is the only Westjet 732 that is in 1/500 scale. I have changed my conclusion on this model if it's well worth having. I thought there would be other 1/500 Westjet 732s from other brands, but there isn't - making this model worth it in one's collection whether you're a beginner or long-time collector. This model reslly does show its age and has many inaccuracies, but if you're looking for a 1/500 Westjet 732, this is your only choice in getting one.
