Great video!
Hey there! Just discovered your channel, and I wanted to express my gratitude for your insightful video on navigating social media for dental practices. The themes of effective communication and outreach align closely with the values I emphasize in my own Christian youtube channel, where I discuss the importance of connecting with others and making a positive impact. I've already liked and subscribed to your channel-looking forward to more valuable content from you in the future! Keep up the fantastic work!
Well, social media advertising still works. Doesn't really work like google ads, but as you guys say, it's part of the customer journey. If you have a descent trafic on your website, it's great to consider retargeting. And depending your target customer, choose wisely your plateforme. Exemple: Dental practice in Switzerland. Target 25-35 yrs old. => ads on instagram. Again, not the same conversion as Google Ads, but it's a great plus ! Thanks again for the great content RevUp ! ;)
The challenge with integrating marketing strategies that use multiple platforms is it becomes really hard to track the results properly. Sure, someone can see a post on Instagram, then discover your website, look around, decide they are not interested in an appointment right now, but maybe look you up again a week later, maybe click on a Google ad, and then fill out an appointment request form. Tracing that appointment request back to the Instagram ad they originally found you through is very difficult. When you're doing marketing for dentists, these are small businesses with small marketing budgets, and every dollar invested needs to translate into a clear and tangible return-on-investment. This is why in general we don't recommend putting a lot of money into social media ads when you are likely going to get much better returns on Google. People searching for a dentist on Google are looking to go to a dentist. Trying to engineer some clever campaign of Instagram ads that get them into your funnel is kind of overkill for the budgets 99% of dentists have to spend on marketing.
@@revupdental Indeed. Totally agree with that ! 👍 Thanks again for the great content !
@@revupdental Not to mention depending on where you are in the world you can't retarget for dental. Even if you can physically do it on the individual platforms it goes against health privacy laws and college by-laws.
@@liammcgrath9117While I understand your concerns about adhering strictly to college by-laws, the reality is that complete compliance can often restrict marketing efforts. In my experience working with hundreds of dental professionals, it's rare to find a practice that hasn’t unintentionally crossed a line-whether related to HIPAA, PIPEDA, or specific college advertising regulations. It’s true that technically, many marketing strategies used in dentistry operate in a bit of a gray area. However, in such a competitive field, practices often need to push boundaries to attract patients. To my knowledge, enforcement actions for minor infractions, such as running a remarketing campaign for teeth whitening, are quite rare. While it’s important to be mindful of these rules, a degree of flexibility can be essential in maintaining a competitive edge.
Great tips!
Great stuff!

This is very informative, I have a question? Can a dentist learn this role of being a CRM expert? Thanks
A dentist doesn't need to necessarily be a CRM "expert" but understanding how CRMs work, and more generally how sales works, what your staff needs to do to book more patients, how to create a system of accountability so you can monitor what they are doing and how effective they are is critical to building a good practice. CRM systems make it easy to monitor what is happening when it comes to sales, how many new patient leads you're getting, how many are turning into booked appointments, and where the bottlenecks are.
So simple!
Excellent.... It's a 2 way traffic...Now we shall to ask a question in a different way. 🎉
I keep reading Reebok 😅
Your video is very beautiful. I like it a lot. I have been trying to talk to you for a long time. I am waiting for your response. Please give me a chance to talk to you..❤️💚👍
If one more non-dentist says that old cliche "They teach you great clinical skills in dental school but nothing about business" I may just explode!! Let's retire that one for good. It's not accurate, these people have no clue what is taught in dental school, and it's downright insulting. Sign form.
This saying doesn’t come from non-dentists, it primarily comes from the most successful dentists, and it keeps getting repeated because it’s absolutely true even today. If dentists were any good at business you wouldn’t see corporate dentistry and DSOs, primarily run by non-dentists, taking over the industry. Every dentist needs to invest heavily in leadership and business skills to thrive in todays competitive environment. If you don’t, you’re going to end up working for those non-dentists sooner or later. The same has already happened in countless industries. Retail, hotels, coffee shops, pharmacies, grocery stores, gas stations, auto repair, convenience stores, gyms, etc. Dentistry is going down the same path because like the other industries I mentioned above, they were all run by people who thought that you just had to be good at the work that type of business did in order to run a successful business. The best coffee shops are not run by people who make the best coffee, they are run by the best business people. The vast majority of dentists haven't spent even 5% as much time learning about business and leadership as they've spent learning clinical skills.
Insightful
Thank you!
Very informative video.thank you for sharing.
Awesome 👏 thank you more
Can you do more role play videos?
Perhaps the problem is in the quality of the photos?
We repeated the experiment a few times and with a variety of different photos, from ones taken on a cell phone, to very professionally shot before & after photos. The results were almost always the same. It's not the quality of photos that's the problem, it's that most dental before & after photos are more like medical documentation photos rather than photos that highlight the patient. The best use of before & after photos we've seen was from Smile Direct Club. While they ultimately went under, they actually had great before & after photos that looked almost like Instagram selfies, where even in the before photo the patient looked very nice, but it was unquestionable that in the after photo they looked much better with straight teeth. It was the type of photos that potential patients could project themselves onto and get excited about Invisalign, whereas 99% of photos dentists take are the kind you would expect to see in a medical textbook.
True
Thanks for posting this video. I'm learning a lot of SEO strategies from you.
Glad you found it useful Glen. I'll be doing a new one soon as a few things have changed in the last 3 years.
Do you have a podcast I could listen to in the car?
We don't have one at this time since almost all of our videos are under 10 mins long but we might consider creating a podcast in the future if we see enough interest.
Excellent message!
I look at customer service as how you treat the customer and is geed back by how they feel about it. It is the over arching experience. Sales is a proactive approach of adding value by uncovering the needs or wants a customer has through questions and providing a potential solution. A successful sale is when the transaction translates as a transfer from the customers pocket to yours. The customer service or experience will make you go back again.
Well said

Brilliant information! I Wish everyone was aware of this information and knew how to deliver it successfully.
Beautiful! 😊😊😊😊!! Do not waste your time = "promosm"!!
Because they actually do have to have a decent knowledge of how insurance works and how to put in the codes, and that’s not easy to teach someone with no knowledge. Otherwise you’re suggesting having someone JUST to answer calls, and someone to do everything else which is not practical unless it’s a very very big practice.
I understand what you're saying, there is more to being a receptionist than just answering the phone. However, you can teach someone how insurance in dental works but you can't teach someone how to be a friendly, warm, and positive person. Even if they can ONLY answer the phone that is still valuable and will drive a lot more new patients if they know how to do it well, and new patients are the lifeblood of the practice. Over the following weeks and months they will obviously learn how to do more. This isn’t my “theory” I'm simply sharing what our most successful clients do. The average practices are always searching for unicorn employees. The successful practices find ways to create them.
Nice! It's easy to get confused by all the metrics that exist online. Like Dan Kannedy says - sales is the ONLY thing that really counts.
