“Squall’s style combines precise swordsmanship with the unique mechanics of the Gunblade. His moves demand excellent timing and control to execute slashes while triggering the weapon’s explosive capabilities. Replicating his style would require kenjutsu-inspired training for techniques. Squall is as unorthodox as it gets-most of his Dissidia techniques come from different angles, and the footwork is even more unconventional. In short, Squall has many similarities with samurai-type characters such as Sabin, Cloud, Auron, Cor, etc. The main difference is the fact that he uses a Gunblade, making recoil and shooting an integral part of his strikes as well.”
