Azir might also be at his weakest since release by a lot. he has been gutted and put on the smoker to fry for at least 5 hours

I didnt main anything fully before at S6, a full year later when GP got his rework, i wanted to learn him I wanted to rise first time to gold no matter what, thus my journey to high elo started there I reached my first peak at s7 to Plat 1 (back when it actually meant something) i realised i needed to expand my champion pool and need learn lane macro and new mechanics to face more bs when GP wasnt enough so Riven came to picture, totally different play style and i needed to learn mechanics like animation canceling These 2 characters really helped me to learn ANY champion, Early game positioning and strategizing 5-8 waves in advance from GP, mechanical prowes high mobility animation canceling techniques from Riven has changed my current Character pool which is now Ksante (funny I am top 150 ksante players in world), Renekton (he is more advanced than people give credict for) and Rumble (He is busted but people cant seem to able to abuse his 25% heat e dmg bug, and can face many top lane menaces) GP and RIven will be always my confort picks that got me my peak rank Grandmaster. Nowadays i play only at D2-Low master lobbies, because i dont have same drive to reach challenger as i used to, im older player who has played this game since s2 and i dont have same time to dedicate my time to ranked ladder everyday like i used to Currently i am studdying at university of applied sciences at Oulu to get my degree of Bachelor of Business Administration But in my free time here and there i play few ranked game to keep my lp decay timer in check

Fellow bird main here. Peak Gold 2, 7 Lp. For starters, your video is very well done. Frankly, the only reason I could tell it was your first video like this was because you told me personally and again in the video. As you make more videos, you'll learn where to improve, and you'll quickly become one of the highest quality League TH-camrs out there. Viktor was my first "true love" character in League, so I understand the affinity for harder characters. With that being said, I was never, and might never be, an Azir OTP or OTP of any kind because I like playing and enjoing other picks and am also an esports player. I do resonate with a lot of points in this video. Development as a player can feel hindered or slowed because you're playing an inherently more demanding champion. I have felt hard stuck before and a lot of it was my instance and unwillingness to drop Azir. Recently however, I have shot up in rank a ton, so I don't think Azir specifically was what was holding me back. Here's what I disagree with: Syndra is definitely not an easy character. I've basically stopped playing her for a few reasons, but I have 161k points on her and she's my 3rd highest character in terms of mastery points. When she's top meta like she has been last year and this year, she's definitely brainless. Otherwise, she's definitely skill expressive. I think people who think she's harder than Azir are overexaggerating her skill expression, but she is a skill expressive champion. Secondly, Azir very much has transferable skills. He's very much one of the most unique characters in the game, but it's not like 1 tricking Yasuo where the only other character your mechanical skills are applicable for is Yone. I find battlemages, particularly Viktor and Ryze, to be very enjoyable, and their kiting, DPS, backline that can also be up close play style is definitely reminiscent of Azir's. Azir's great range helps you learn to play long range champs like Xerath and Syndra well, and I find that soldier control also helps me with laning phase on Orianna. With that being said, it's a helluva lot easier to learn Viktor and Syndra and transfer those skills to Azir than it is to learn Azir and transfer those skills to Viktor and Syndra. Keep up the incredible work! You've earned yourself an interested and dedicated fan.

one tricked one of the most difficult champions in the game is kind of comical to hear, azir up until this year has been viable and strong. granted now he really needs 3 items to carry and most games are decided before anyone gets to 3 items, you shit talk syndra but syndra is likely a harder champion to play than azir she just scales easier with a lead. she actually has to land skillshots instead of being a strange super long range auto attacker like azir.

Really interesting video, pretty well made. I do think its cool seeing the perspective of someone who struggled to climb because u were an otp. Many coaches and high elo streamers recommend being an otp as it helps u learn the fundamentals better. I think its kinda interesting that otping azir and other really difficult champions can actually hinder u. I currently am pretty much a jayce otp and i started playing league just over two yrs ago. I only recently actually started playing ranked but i do see what u mean when u say that u would for high risk high reward plays. I can think back to a number of games recently where i made an ego play then just discredited it to my team being too far behind when in reality i shouldnt be making that play to begin with. I think i will continue to otp jayce but I will try to make sure i stay focused on the FUNDAMENTOES. Cool video might stop by a stream at some pt as well if i get the chance.

I mean, for me I spent most of my years OTPing Shaco before I swapped to midlane last year so I'd say most of my fundamentals were solid (bar farming, I am still struggling to get 100+ CS even in custom games per 10 minutes). I do see your point though, playing Azir is just completely different from most champions in the game so you have to base your mindset and playstyle on that champion and if you are new, the mechanics might just be overwhelming. That is kind of why my first games on Azir were usually with a blissful score of 0/14 (D3 btw). Good video. Also thanks for the cameo twice 😆, keep WEQRing brother.

And you are even mentioning how versatily azir builds and runes are and how important it is to find your own prefered playstyle and setups. On top of that you still seem to find much success with hob burst tech, so really happy about that. Keep going
