Hi. They will last a full shoeing cycle of 4-6 weeks. You’d have to speak to the particular farrier. Theres quite a few products to purchase if casting them as well plus the time it takes. I’ve had some great results with them though.

How long will these stay on for? Will they last a normal shoeing cycle? And roughly how much would a UK farrier charge to fit these? Thank you!

Length+width+2” to establish size of a normal 3/4 fullered front-13”. Then I add 3-3 1/2” for a straight bar. In this case 16 1/2”.

By ‘back’ do you mean you’d thin the hoof wall? As explained this is only the process for bonding a shoe on and the foot used is a lamanitic as that’s all that was available. This is a process that is usually used on a compromised thoroughbred foot that’s racing and needs to work/race. The thinner the wall the weaker it will become. I hope that seeing the process was useful for you. Thanks for the comment.

I'd be more worried about bringing the toe length back on that foot if that was a live horse.

Hi. The staring length is 13” of 3/4x3/8 mild steel.

why in the hell would you swing a hammer with your thumb on the handle?...this is sinue damage incoming! also, why don't you cool you drifts? the height of the anvil and hammer handling right in the swinging motion of your head is mere insanely unsafe. as a blackmith you stand in a 90 degree angle with your right side of the hip to the anvil!
