For the staff who work for these, treated like a piece of dirt extremely low wages nowhere to sleep except for under a ride or a lorry things have changed a little bit better these days but generally speaking having worked for these people they haven’t changed much still treat you like a piece of nothing. (fact) modern day slavery.
And you got more than a pound a day Michael Albert collins never went to school and whean it was busy you could throw anything down on the counter and he wudent know how much youde put down. Ha ha
I find this all very interesting, my fiancee likes to spin the cars on the Waltzer for her uncle, only for fun though she would never do it for a living.
I bought the video from the BBC archives several years ago for £60 for one DVD simply because my wife's mother & late twin sister are featured Fortune telling at Knutsford May Fair about 1967, so it is all the more interesting & nostalgic for us both !
Thank you so much for uploading this, I have tried in vain for many years to get a copy for my wife. Her family appears on the show but she has never had a copy of her own and last saw it when it was aired originally.
I miss those days
Love it... To make sure there is a challenger, Matty Moran has planted one in the crowd
I wonder where Susan Clark is now Queen of the may all these years on... Would be great to see

Old school workers
Okay for the travellers-. The gaff lads, though - we were treated like shit. It near enough amounted to slavery.
You were free to leave any time you chose to?? Nobody was ever forced to became a gaff lad!
