The Ashover Autunm Loop
This delightful Autumn route was one by MTB Derbyshire. Link to his channel below.
The route started and finished in Ashover taking in some great single track, woodland trails and cross country field paths. There are some road sections but mainly they are C roads and very quiet.
The views are great and the route is constantly evolving and keeping the ride interesting

The Cusworth Trail exits and there are at least 2 sign posts put up by the council to prove it. However the full route is somewhat of a mystery and not published by the council. I took it upon myself based on a dew clues and other peoples interpretations and decided on this version. www.komoot.com/tour/1898543808

The Cinder Trail Pt2 Ravenscar to Whitby
มุมมอง 436หลายเดือนก่อน
This is the second leg of my ride on the Cinder Trail. Ravenscar to Whitby. About 11 miles one way. The ride was to start at Scarborough and go all the way to Whitby but due to mechanical issues the ride was originally cut short in February. This video is very much the continuation of the trail but was filmed some 6 months later in September.

มุมมอง 2122 หลายเดือนก่อน
This 23 mile one way ride on the old Whitby to Scarborough line, other wise known as The Cinder Trail was shot in February 24. I was hoping to do the whole there and back in 1 day. Unfortunately with the back axel breaking and lodging the disc brake in the caliper I had to abandon the ride, I stayed in the Boots and Bike hotel in Scarborough and loved the facilities. Well worth a visit and reas...
Wetherby The Red Kite Trail
มุมมอง 2822 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Red Kite Mountain Bike Trail is a 20-mile mountain bike ride on bridleways, starting and finishing in Wetherby. It goes along field edges and through woods, and there is the odd sharp climb. Some parts of the route could be rather muddy in Winter. There are red kites in this area, and I saw a lot over a farm and perched in a tree. Join the Harland Way railway path, following signs to Spoffo...

This was a loop I took from Soy Boy exploring the Calederdale and Aire area A very mixed and scenic route which just adds to the ride. I started and finished at the Stanley Ferry pub. It looks a popular place but never went in so can not comment to much. I thoroughly enjoyed this ride and being so close to urban populations and infrastructure it is surreal to be on little tracks and woodland tr...

I have no idea. Yet when connected to the bike. The bike app doesn't lose connection. Glad your enjoyed the video and you will enjoy this route too
Well done donny lad,for getting up that cut gate section in one.👏 BTW threading is eyebrows. Don’t ask how I know 😂 All best stevie bee
He will have had them done in sure😅

It was a mixed ride and loved the latter sections
Have you not got a walk mode on that bike, would have helped a bit on those steps?!
Yes i have. I forget from time to time
Come on Donny lad get back on some proper rides the last 2 videos are all tpt and road work and far too much going uphill with what I've seen. is the person you have nicked these rides off a roadie with skinny tyres and Lycra.
What would you like
Great vlog again 👍🏻 at 9:49 that is where they filmed Kez 👊🏻👍🏻
You didn't have a yam 426 did ya?
I dont even know what that is
@donnyladmtb25 sorry buddy, it's a motorbike,, i used to be on a forum years ago and there was a lad on there called donny lad, jist thought it might have been you,, All the best pal.

What bike you on?
Its a Cube Sl 160
Hi new subscriber Been binge watching your channel over past few weeks We live near old more and have a gate onto branch of TPT just before Cortonwood. Last week we did Old moor to Penistone on out Trek e-bikes and had lovely hot roast pork sandwich in Penistone before returning. We have in mind your route on this vid but parking in Penistone and riding to reservoir. Would you say park at Penistone or like you Dunford Bridge I know comment is a bit long sorry Good enjoyable vids Cheers
Id park either to be honest. You gave the car park near tesco at Penistone that leads on to the TPT but Dunford Bridge is always enpty and parking isnt an issue. Thanks for watching. Much appreciated!!!
Great weather and views Is that the car park for the “Cusworth dog walkers” 😉
Yes, it is. We spent many a dark evening there back in the 80s, didn't we😅
Your favourite song is let me guess. Smooth Operator 😊
Nice chat up line .😂
I am as smooth as they come mate lol
Good picture at the beginning 😂😂
I thought id show me failing for once and not brother Noel lol
Nice 1 pal. Called signs that film with corn field 😂😂
was a great film. I do love a bit of Mel
Narrow man keeps cropping up 😂😂
After watching this video I decided to follow your route last Saturday. Turned out to be a misty day so the views weren’t great. Hats off to you both on Jacob’s ladder you did a lot better than me. Then going up to mamtor I got peddle strike. The bike stopped dead and I carried on into handle bars. Broke a rib. Very sore. Think I’ll stick to chesterfield canal for a while.
I am sorry to hear about your injury.. I hope you were not stranded and ssort medical attention. It is a very demanding route and 1 that took me to my limit. Very very demanding not just physically but mentally too
@@donnyladmtb25 Thanks. I finished the ride and got back ok. if I moan too much about injuries I'll be banned from riding. Thanks and looking forward to your next video. keep it up.
@@cruiserland90 it will be out in the next couple of days. It is a local adventure around the Don Gorge in Doncaster
Did that route last year very good I went clouton to whitby return.
How did you go on for getting back given theres no train between rge two and you can't take bikes on a bus, did you cycle back?
@rickpreskey7654 i had to get a taxi. A big taxi to get the bike in. The guy wast happy as he didn't exoect it to be so heavy. It took 2 of us to get it in to his estate. 30 quid later🙃
Blimey! Never considered about getting a cab, I do fancy giving that ride next year and some other trails up there, visited the area loads but never ridden round there.
@@rickpreskey7654 There is a FB group called Canals and Railways. You can join and get an idea of what is out there to ride
Very Scenic
A bit tame for you that lol
How did you get back home?
@thewelshwonder1965 i was staying at the Bike and Boot Hotel in Scarb so got the ladies in the cafe at Ravenscar to get me a taxi. £30 quid 😔
February
I've just got my mountain bike out again. I've sold the car, too bloody expensive to maintain. I'm thinking about converting my Giant Talon 29er to electric. I went to Kirbebikes to look at the deals, but they want £450 for a battery. The whole kit was £840, but over half was the battery. I was looking at the 52v 20AH DP Battery. There are cheaper batteries on eBay, but are they any good. My experience of Lithium batteries is remarkably good, but you get a surprise when you want a replacement.
I know how expensive they are. I had to have a new motor and fortunately it was under warranty other wise id be looking at 800 plus. I do recall your avatar logo. I cant place it but deffo ITV
Great video. Just my type of ride, a bit of everything.
Indeed. I likwe a variety and this XC had it for sure. Wetherby and nice place . Free parking too
SOFT!!!
Another good ride, keep um coming mate.
It is a nice little loop and a great chippie at the end
Is that the kiox 200 or 300 mate
I think it is 300
@donnyladmtb25 thanks can't decide between 200 or 300 lol
What bike does Noel ride?
A Specialised . Mo idea on model or spec. He went for light weight and range extender. It is nice and feels light . Lacks the power for the hills and isnt as solid as mince for the rocky descents. Still does well and beats pushing up a hill in my opinion. I really hate pushing lol
@@donnyladmtb25 must be the Levo SL, I’ve got a full powered Levo S Works,i hate pushing too
@@thewelshwonder1965 you may be right. That name rings a bell
What are the 2 Garmins for? The ride is still marked as private on Komoot, anyway of getting to it?
It was is known as a just in case as it was the first ride out with the new one and hadnt really looked how to use it. I will check and make it accessible for you
All done. It was the wrong link. Thanks for letting me know
Think the crop is linseed, all the best.

You crack me up with your Yorkshire sense of humour and jovial attitude pal 🤣🤣🤣
Im just a natural guy living in a funny world😊
Yeah amongst other things as well pal 😉😉
Ridden from Retford to Stockwith and back many times. For some reason, the section of canal from Clayworth to Hayton is very neglected and impassable at times due to being so overgrown. The canal itself is no better on that section and gets full of reeds and weed. For that reason I usually get on the road between the Boat Pub at Hayton and the moorings at Clayworth. Just a short section but saves a lot of misery.
It is a shame and i fully get what you are saying. May be the Canal trust may sort it in time
Komoot says you made the tour private!
Thank youbfor the mention made me laugh so much n yeh was defo swearing back of pit magic that rout the climbs ya dont relise ya climbing lol
I have not ventured south from there and loved it. Many thanks for sharing the route
I live in Thurcroft, so not far from Roche Abbey, and I've just bought a house in Conisbrough so might try this route. But unlike your other routes, it's set to private on komoot. Any chance of making it public? Cheers
I will do it. Cheers
All done
The battle of thrybergh plaque 😂 is a Trigpoint that tells your triangulation position on a map. This one is also the highest point in Doncaster. All the best 🚲
Awesome video mate Roche Abbey is on my list to do . I mite do this next week
@fryxc.doncaster3483 it is a really lovely ride but watch the pit trail. Very over grown
Hey up donny thanks for the mention totally unexpected made my day 😂❤ keep the vids coming guys with more lovely views
Was a great place to ride
Crackin video mate ...can i asked what settings you use on your gopro...my edits are grainy on a tv...cheers 👍🏻
I think most of mine are default. I changed activity to 2.7k/60L and video mode is extended. I never touch settings to be honest. Point and shoot is my method lol
Cheers pal👍🏻
Hey up donny lad my other half watches you alot got me watching 👀 too think your brilliant not forgetting noel of course make me laugh 😄 so obviously I had to hit that subscribe
That's very kind of you. All scripted you know😂😂
We do try to entertain. Cheers for your comment and I am hoping to maintain the laughter for you
At 22:07 you turned left off the Bridleway, I've done it myself once in the past [Jon].
I sure did and it turned out to be a good move. It did concern me initially when confronted with a wall of ferns but fortunately it was downhill and the momentum carried me :)
GREAT ROUTE LOOKS GOOD
well worth a go Michael
The Don Gorge between Conisbrough Water Tower and Sproborough has many interesting features, the Banana cave, the ruins of the abandoned hamlet of Levitt Hagg, the many tunnels under the railway line linking the quarry to the riverbank and the impressive geological features which attract rock climbers .
It is a very remarkable place for sure
