Can you make a video about basic to locate with a F2 or drilling?
Drill too is so much faster
What are you marking out everytime you paint like the front ball crosshairs and back ball?
I started locating with a mark 3 fr!!!
Its like looking at a clock,if your at a certain depth and need to come straight up you stop rotation and push drill string at 12 oclock, if you need to go down and to the left push at 7 or 8 oclock,once your marks show that you are were you want to be spin that bitch in!!!
The paint is there to tell them were they drilled and if they need to make any steering corrections.
The operator has a locator box on the drill rig so he can see the same thing that the walk over locator sees.
Not always. Sometimes you gotta just watch hand signals

I currently work for boring company as a ground laborer,could you explain how someone operates and reads the locator and what the paint marks are.
Basically the drill head is what you pay attention to, the direction pitch and depth are what you track. The paint is just a visual display of what your doing underground to help you see your bore path. The operating and locating will come with time and experience that’s the only way to get good. I hate that I lost the several other videos I had, they make this bore look like child’s play

8x12 or 9x13? If it’s a 8x12 do you like the rig, does it have much power can you steer well 100’ out?
I loved this video watched twice haha it’s like soothing, i only go off ball occasionally check beacon line but why two dots u tracking back ball as well just wondering?
If you keep track of both dots you can step back and look at your line to see which direction you need or to adjust your angle.

Why u guys not using headphones with mics? I think its makes the communication much easier
On a short bore like this one hand signals work fine, headphones allow a lot of background noise
Nice to see how u guys do it in the USA We are boring in germany with a D10 But a little bit quicker.. in a week we got 2km fiber optic cable in the ground with 2 machines

@@KohlenKumpel nein auf der D10 haben wir keinen Stangenlader. Die Stangen wiegen nur 11kg da lohnt sich das nicht. Was meinst du mit der auto Antenne?
